al-Zarqawi released a statement on the internet today vowing that they will not rest in the insurgency as long as American soldiers were in Iraq. He said that he will continue to target us and anyone that “collaborates” with us. He was also quoted as saying, “we will not rest while your army is here as long as there is a pulse in our veins.”

Well, I for one, am shivering in fear. I’m sure my brothers in Iraq are now changing their underwear from the terror this statement brings to them. It’s so easy to sit behind the dark veil of the internet and make these claims. To be honest, it doesn’t really sound like a threat to me. It sounds more like a plea. I think what he really meant to say, but it got lost in translation, was, “Please kill me, I beg you.”

To al-Zarqawi I say this, have no fear: if it’s the pulse you want removed from your veins, we’ll happily oblige you! Be careful for whom you answer the door. Watch your back as you leave your safe places. And speak freely as you talk on your phones. We don’t want your voice. We want your pulse. The voice will take care of itself.

  1. This link below relates what is pulsing in their veins–the return to tyranny and ultimate control. These villians must all be killed. I am grateful that not another minute was lost deposing Sadam. No doubt that our military are heroes of the day and age we live in.
