I got a few letters similar to this. A lot of kids know about war but don’t understand it. Shoot, most of us don’t even really understand it. This was a cute letter that reminded me of being a kid and the way I used to ask girls out. Will you go out with me: Yes or No? I guess circling no required a lot less effort cause it was circled a lot.

In addition to letters, I also got a lot of art work. Kids can draw some pretty graphic images for their age. They can draw very patriotic images as well. Some are humorous, some make you cry, and some leave you scratching your head, like this picture on the back of the letter:
