Okay, I'll admit it. I just came across this blog and I absolutely love it! CJ at A Soldier's Perspective has an interesting, insightful, funny, and touching blog that everyone should check out.

CJ- These are GREAT- especially #1 and #7. If #1 isn't followed, it makes me VERY mad. A couple of summers ago, while I was at a ball game, there were some who were talking during the national anthem, and I told them to be quiet- there were soldiers dying to protect our flag and they could respect it. (I was almost crying as I said it.) A couple of games later, the same thing happened with a father and daughter right in front of me. I shushed them, then they started talking during THEIR anthem- Oh Canada.

As for #7, I figure if I can teach my special ed students to take their hats off and stand when the flag comes by, then people in the general mainstream should know how to do it.

(Can you guess those 2 issues get me steaming????)

CJ,

These rules are great...especially number 6. Our Coast Guard is too often the forgotten branch. They work very hard everyday for this country both here and overseas! We should all be very proud of our Coast Guard!!
