Sometimes I feel that the people of this great nation need a wake up call to remember who we are fighting in the Global War on Terrorism. The Jawa Report brings us that not-so-friendly reminder with, Beheading Desecration Video of Dead U.S. Soldiers Released on Internet by al Qaeda (Video/Images).
A brutal video showing the desecration of the bodies of two U.S. soldiers has been released on the internet by an al Qaeda linked group.

This video shows the true face of the enemies we fight. However you feel about the war in Iraq, this should enrage you. They are ruthless barbarians who boast about killing those they have taken hostage.
For those that need the reminder of what we’re up against I encourage you to watch the video. Even if it turns out to be 100% propaganda from al Qaeda it’s still a beheading of those that don’t have the same views as the terrorists.

Personally, I cannot look at these pics or watch the video. I went to the funeral for Pfc. Thomas Tucker and I had a hard enough time just looking at the flag covered casket. I hope his family does not see these pics

I, too, went to PFC Tucker’s funeral. i don’t think anyone could sit in that arena and not remember the brutality he endured that day. But, we keep America warm and fuzzy by not showing the horrors, by not repeatly showing the Trade Towers falling and the Pentagon burning. America needs a wake up call – I’m afraid it may be on our soil.

There is a difference between putting Iraqis at ease by showing that Uday and Qusay were dead and that the most wanted terrorist in Iraq was dead than lopping off the heads of another human being on video tape and then running those images to the internet.

Iraqis, I have a question for you…
If our soldiers were beheaded and killed as revenge for what was said to be done to an Iraqi family then explain to me why are insurgents continually killing the Iraqi people themselves? 20 Civilian bus drivers so far today alone.
When the animals that did those things get caught and they will mark my words they should be skinned alive. But we being a civilized country would never do that but they will pay the price one way or another.

What was done to those two soldiers was awful. There is no excuse for it. We are clearly facing barbarians who place no value on human life. That being the case, I would like to know more about the circumstances surrounding the three soldiers being alone in one HMMWV guarding a bridge. I hope the platoon leader, company commmander, first sergeant, and platoon sergeant answer for why three soldiers, two PFC’s and a SPC, all with very little experience, were ALONE in with one vehicle guarding a bridge. I’ve read different things about after the attack started the rest of the soldiers went after the attackers while additional attackers came for the three that were left guarding the bridge. I also read that these three soldiers were alone the whole time, out of sight of the rest of their unit, when they were attacked. Either case is unacceptable. What the heck was so important about this —-ing bridge that it was worth the lives of 3 of our soldiers? If this bridge needed to be guarded, it should have been guarded adequately to protect the lives of the soldiers. If there are not enough personnel on the ground to do that, the officers need to tell Rumsfled that more troops are needed and stop playing this game of agreeing that they don’t need any more. The officers should not have allowed three soldiers to be out there by themselves.

first of all i think these US soldiers were already dead. if they were captured, why didn’t the iraqis show them alive? it would have been huge propaganda for them. Second, if they were killed by bullets, and then beheaded and cut into pieces, what’s so horrible about that? They’re already dead! American atheist culture doesn’t have any sacriligious tenents about desacrating a body. In Islam, the body should be honored, only if you want to put a curse or wish eternal hell on a dead body do you desacrate it. Do you remember the US soldiers in Afghanistan who burned the bodies of dead Taliban soldiers in order to enrage the enemy to come out and fight? The US knows how to upset the Islamic fanatics, and the Islamic fanatics seem to know how to upset the Americans. Both parties cry foul when the other player cheats. It’s really funny to watch.

Dear Kim, the video is not funny to watch, but the public statements by the US and Insurgents are very funny. . . . Remember that the Iraq war is unnecessary. Al-Qaeda who committed 9/11 is hiding comfortably in Pakistan, watching CNN, and making videos every month. If you think Al-Qaeda is in Iraq then you are misinformed. THe US is fighting Iraqis who didn’t attack the USA on 9/11. The US declared war on Iraq, isn’t it natural for Iraqis to fight back? What do you take them for, cowards who cut and run while their country is occupied? Is this how you would greet the Russian army or the Chinese army if they invaded Oklahoma? They began in Munchen (1972 germany olimpyade !) and now they are in Iraq too.

ANTHONY—First of all the soldiers who were in the humvee were not left there alone to guard the bridge. There were 3 vehicles there when they came under attack and there vee was disabled and the other 2 vee’s were able to get away before they realized that the third vee had not. When they returned to the remaining vee they discovered that the soldiers were missing.
TRUTH—Get the facts on who did what first before you make judgments. It is possible that these two soldiers knew the men who have been accused of killing that family. However, do you have any idea how many members are in a company, a platoon, a brigade, a unit. There is a good chance they did not even know the other existed.
IRAQI—Are you a true Iraqi? Have you ever spoken to any Iraqi’s? I can offer you this…take a trip to the Michigan area…a highly populated area with many Iraqi’s who left Iraq because of the torment and torture they lived under while Saddam was in power. They left (escaped) and came here, to the United States for a better life that we freely allowed them to do. Talk to them and they will tell you they agree with us entering their country and wish us not to leave.
Let me also tell you the difference in the way we treated the death of Udday, Quasay and Zarkawi.
1st…We cleaned there faces and made them presentable so as to not offend the Iraqi people and took into consideration that their mothers would see those photos. Where is the consideration of our soldiers mother’s that they might see the video or photo’s?
2nd…After the bodies of Udday, Qusay, AND Zarkawi were recovered they were not thrown into a street corner and did not have their heads and leggs removed and held up in the air, or dragged across the pavement. They were given the respect that their religion and common desency that we as Americans call for. Al-Zarkawi was even given a final resting place unknown to the public so that no-one could go and desricate it.
If you are an person living in this country and do not like it…GET THE F**k Out. Go away and spread your hatred elsewhere. We will do fine with out you. Also, if you happen to be an immigrant here in my country, you really should learn that it is not polite to bite the hand that feeds you. Karma is a B**tch! If you have the balls and truly believe what you speak…then have the balls to stand tall, stand fast and let us know who you really are. Do not be a coward and hide behind a fake name like the insugents hide behind young children and women. Do you not recognize the food being given, toys and clothing being sent, schools being built, medical facilities being built…do you not see that America is a nation of caring, giving, loving people and are trying to make a difference.
Maybe if you all had the balls to stand together and fight against Saddam and the terrorists he harbored in Iraq we could have still had our soldiers here at home with us.

Why the world is filled with hatred?

Cedar’s question: I often wonder why the world is so filled with hatred also. I’ve been praying the rosary when I can for Privates Menchaca and Tucker, and I cry and cry like they were a part of my family. Still, just the thought of them makes me cry, like now. I just wanted to say that I think everyone, and I mean everyone (President Bush, on down to us civilians) severely, and I mean severely underestimated those animals that we are fighting in Iraq and all their little splintered groups. Everyone is blaming someone for this mess that we have gotten ourselves into, but I think that in our western, civilized world, where granted, we do have violence, we just didn’t imagine the kind of brutality and total lack of regard for anything humane that we are witnessing. There is saying that says it takes all kinds to make the world go around, but I don’t understand how the terrorists and the Stalins and the Saddam Husseins, the Ouday and brother, and all the others make the world go around. How do they fit in? Can someone answer that for me? I’m not the only one who thinks this and my husband, who is an army veteran, laughs gently and indulgently whenever I say we should take all of our troops out and just drop the new equivilant of napalm on all of Iraqi. Probably about 99% hate us and don’t want us there, and are ungrateful for what is being down for THEM, and since they hate each other and are killing each other, why don’t we do it in one fell swoop? My husband says you can’t do that, being the rational one in the family. I have read other people’s writings or blogs or whatever this is saying the same thing. I would be sorry for the real innocents, but hey, we could be getting rid of present terrorists as well as future terrorists. I am tired of the U.S. being so damn wimpy on everything. I am tired of us kissing Islam/Muslim butts. Why don’t people start protesting by having a mass burning of the Koran? Didn’t I hear a few years back someone over there desecrated a Bible? Since they like to send videos of beheading and shootings to bother us, why not send over some videos to them of burning of the Koran? I am tired of the bleeding heart Liberals/Democrats and why in the hell hasn’t President Bush hired someone to charge the NY Times with treason for printing that story that told the terrorists all of our secrets? What is going on in the U. S.? I don’t understand why the Liberals/Democrats want to undermine the U.S. When I was in high school and college, in history, we studied the communist witch hunts and how a lot of Hollywood was being questioned. And there were Hollywood stars who were communists and I wonder now, if there aren’t any communist moles in Congress. I read somewhere that communists were using moles in high places in the U.S. and they way things are, I am beginning to wonder if I’m right. Hollywood has leanings which to me are almost communistic and definitely congress and some of the judicial rulings that are coming out sound very communistic. Why are people letting this happen? It is really scary because I have a small child, and visions of mass executions are always in my thoughts. I’m always scared about what might happen to her because she is a small child. I have to stop now. I am blabbering and I don’t want to sound crazy. But I am a conservative and my son just finished boot camp and doesn’t have to go to Iraq until next September, and hopefully not at all, and I believe in the war, but I just think that they should bomb the hell out of Iran and Iraq and any country that harbors and supports terrorists and I think they should arrest all the liberal newspapers and television station people for broadcasting sensitive material that could harm the U. S. and for putting our troops in danger. I also think that the person Iraqi is just trying to get everyone’s goat with his insane stupidity and not caring about our soldiers getting killed. No one can be that stupid or insensitive unless your a psychopath.
Mother of a Soldier
I have read all of the entries here and I agree with all with exception to those who are against the American Soldier. I am an American, Mother to an American Soldier who is at this moment serving in Iraq. I do not live in the states, but in Australia with my Australian husband. Being American is not where you live. It is who you are. An American takes that with them no matter where they go.
I live next door to Muslims. Let me say this…Not all Muslims are Terrorists…however, ALL TERRORIST ARE MUSLIMS.
In the case of the two soldiers who were kidnapped and tortured…. I grieve for their families, their mothers, their fellow-soldiers. During those days I was overcome with grief and could barely think or move. Until I heard from my son, my heart was only filled with pain. My son tells me of Iraqi people coming up and crying… pulling on the soldiers… begging them not to leave them. They plead on their knees for the soldiers to stay.
This man who says he is Iraqi could be of Iraqi descent. However, living in another culture has taught me to watch spelling…and language skills. This “iraqi” is American educated.
I am a Christian. I am a believer. I know for a fact that God loves all people…yes, even the muslims. However, I know we all make our own choices. These people have chosen a path that will lead them only in one direction. And unfortunately, there will be no mercy for them.
I am extremely patriotic. When I hear the National Anthem I cry. When we watched memorials for 9/11 (with the liberal spin the media here puts on everything) it brought back all the feelings. I will not watch the video of the soldiers dying. I cannot! But Americans need to remember that Freedom isnt Free. And we are not just fighting for the freedom of Americans, but all people. That is what makes us Americans.
Australia lets all the muslims and people from Palestine, Iraq, Iran, etc into their country with little or no screening. Yet, as an American married to an Australian I have been in the process of getting Residency for over a year. And yet I still only have minimal visa. Why?
These are the differences between a truly free nation and those that are not.
Americans, dont take your freedoms for granted. Never forget that there are those who risk there lives everyday so you can have those freedoms. Every word spoke out against the war in Iraq puts soldiers lives in danger. I and many more mothers take that very personally.
To the Soldiers in Iraq.. I love you all. I pray for you all. God Speed Home.

I was hurt in the line of duty during training, we were like 4 months from combat deployment to Iraq back in late 02. Doctors didnt want me to go due to my injuries, i had to put in a lot of request so that i could deploy, finaly i was aproved. I just did not want to stay behind while my unit sailed away.
We created a video for 911, its a day that i wish never happened but it did.
I dont like to see those buildings falling, but its a fact that they went down, many lifes lost that morning. I wanted to show how i feel with this video. I know that we all have different views, this one is mine.
Our deepest respects for all the family’s that lost a loved one during the attacks, and much love to all the men and woman that are out there day in and day out.

I’m a U.S. Marine Corps Veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom whom served in combat from March 03 to Dec.03 and saw first hand the atrosities of War. This in my opinion is a dispicable act of cowardness. To subject You’re Enemy weather Iraqi or American to such a fate and it be celebrated is Evil and Immoral.The Us Marine Corps, along with all other branches of Services and half the other Countries observe and follow the Rules of the Genieveia Convention. Which state a POW will be cared for meaning, medical attention, food and water, and shelter.In other words like a HUMAN, not a piece of trash.The Insurgents responsible for the deaths and video tape are using a Terror Tactic against any and all who view the tape.
