A SOLDIER'S PERSPECTIVE
THE WEB'S LEADING MILITARY BLOG SINCE 2004
I’m sick and tired of all the Muslims around the world who are so opposed to freedoms of any kind, especially speech. After seeing the recent signs that they are holding up, I’d like to offer my personal retort (vetted through CJ for approval AND concurrence):
MOHAMMED CAN GO TO HELL!!
MOHAMMED CAN GO TO HELL!!
Take that egg and suck on it all those that don’t believe in free speech. This is in response to the numerous signs I’ve seen Muslims carrying with the exact same quote except the Pope’s name is used.
Now for those REAL Muslims who don’t agree with the comments but haven’t resorted to murdering nuns or blowing stuff up, thank you for being civil.
[UPDATE] I also propose a public burning of the Muslim Prophet Mohammed in retribution for the Pope effigies being burned all over.

Mike Driehorst
Don’t know if I would go that far as to tell Mohammed where to go, but I would say that anyone — ANYONE — who kills or is violent in the name of Allah, God, Yahweh, Jehovah, etc., is evil and wrong.

WAHOO!!!! Finally a llama that says what we have all been afraid to say. Welcome back David Sneakers.
Jess Dawn
I am with Mike. I don’t know if I would tell Mohammed to go to hell, but it does piss me off that they say what ever they want about Christians and Jews and then anyone who says anything against Islam is expected to apologize. It burns my bottom.
CJ
Normally, I would not go to such extremes either. However, I refuse to apologize. I will not apologize for using my freedom of speech. I refuse to pull punches that they aren’t pulling themselves. You don’t see any Muslim leaders telling their followers that they’re just as wrong by protesting with signs that say “Pope Can Go Go Hell” do you? They want it both ways. They want freedom to say whatever they want yet we can’t use our freedoms in the same way. I’m tired of apologizing for using my freedoms. I refuse to sacrifice my freedoms so that someone else can manipulate them. Muslims are no better than Christians and Christians no better than Muslims when it comes to this issue. They need to learn how to deal with people who don’t agree with them in a non-violent manner. Until they do, they only seek to justify those same words the Pope said that they don’t agree with. It’s hypocritical and ironic.

Yes, the reaction by many Muslims to the Pope’s speech — and ANYTHING that even remotely criticizes Mohammed and Islam — is nearly always violence and death. It does nothing but to justify the comments in the first place.
Either the supposed “extreme” Muslims are actually acting the way Mohammed intended, or the rest are just too afraid to reign them in.

Wow! The absolute BEST post I’ve seen all day. Thanks CJ.
Papa Ray
Jeez, you kids are nothing but a bunch of wussies. Mohammed can’t go to hell anyway, cause that is where he is NOW.
First the only “good Muslims” or “Moderates” are those that do not follow the book (the Qur’an). But even those wish and work for Islam to be the only religion (your religion).
I won’t go into the other Muslims, you know, the ones that are true believers and do follow the book.
Besides, talk about what and who Muslims are and what they do is kinda like talking about the Manson girls and what they did and not talking about the sleezebag that brainwashed them into doing it.
You know what I’m talking about?
ISLAM
Therein lies the real problem. Islam is not just a religion, it is social, political, militarized CULT that hides shrouds itself in religion.
So…you guys getting all in atwitter about telling a child molesting thug to go to hell is a good start, but only a start.

for what 2 cents I can add here, I am with Sir Sneakers. In fact, if saying things equally as reprehensible to their religion as they say about mine continues the debates such as the one here, then I am all for it.
Our dialog before the Pope’s latest headline has been focused in a different place. We are now beginning to actually SAY what we have known all along to be true.
If making the Muslims angry by calling them names and offending their sensibilities and this anger brings us around to finally calling a spade a spade-war between religions and ideology-then, my quote is simple:
“game on”
when we fight LIKE them, instead of trying to be ABOVE them, we will finally find the road to resolution-either acceptance of differences or their deaths…either way is fine by me…though I obviously prefer a peaceful end, I will stand up to defend my rights until I, or my enemy, can no longer fight.
Pretty simple, ain’t it?
Carole
I, too, agree with “Sir Sneakers”.
Andrew
I really don’t understand religion anymore. 2000 years ago, it was used to keep everyone under control. Now, people are analysing every last detail about religion and using it against the other religions (I’m not attacking any specific religions). Honestly… isn’t the point of religion to teach others to be kind to one another? Maybe I should go through some bibles and see if it mentions blowing up children who are taking candy from soldiers… this war is painful to watch from at home.
dusgalan
well, the Pope brought out all the rabble rousers of Islam. I don’t any longer think Islam to be the “religion of peace” since all they want to do now is cut the head off of the Pope. This is more like the RELIGION OF DEATH. Call a spade a spade.

I don’t see that you have to apologize for exercising free speach, CJ. But Papa Ray is right. Telling Mohammad to go to hell is rather pointless. Also fighting like them (as in name calling and burning things) is pointless too because we are ALREADY above them. Not that that’s difficult to attain.
What I suggest is to forget about trying to beat them at being thugs (they’ve had too much practice) and just fight like us. Never apologize for calmly telling the truth (as long as it realy is the truth). Give them the “your terrorism isn’t going to move me to anything except defense of the innocent and taking away your bully sticks”. And a good round of “if you’re not with us, your with them” would help. We haven’t had one of those in a while.
Papa Ray is right about something else, too. Muslims live in a prison of fear an hatred. Some would leave if they could find the door. Others are going to shout their defiance until they are put out of their misery. It may be hard to tell which are which sometimes, but those are pretty much the two categories.
Donna
Right On David Sneakers! You are saying what I have wanted to say for a long time! I don’t know where these people get that Islam is a religion of peace?! I don’t see any peace to it! Only torment and torture looks like to me!
Anyway, thanks to David Sneakers for sounding off and not being afraid to say it! Oh and thanks to you too CJ!!
Miriam
I’m back again because I just thought of something. CJ, if you or Haystack feel I have been manipulating your free speech (yes, my spelling is atrocious), then I am sorry. They way I feel is that if I’m going to risk my life or even sacrifice it for something, I’d rather it be for telling the truth and not for having the wrong name or saying something stupid.
CJ
Miriam, I don’t feel that way at all. I’d rather hear the hard truth than an easy lie.
haystack
Miriam, I don’t feel that way either. I would prefere dialog and discourse and peaceful coexistence with my fellow human beings. I am just not willing to be apologetic for my beliefes or my behaviors because they may offend someone else.
When, in my peaceful pursuits of my rights some would kill nuns and burn churches and behead people or fly airplanes into buildings and defame my religion and its leaders(I am not Catholic but you get my meaning) then I am not going to just keep sitting peacefully and quietly and staying “above” them.
Sometimes, in order to kill the leeches in the pond, you have to wiggle around in the mud to get at them.
Miriam
You don’t have to be “peaceful and quiet” to stay above them, Haystack. Just don’t resort to their tactics. They are of limited use when you have the truth on your side.
I don’t know if you realize it or not, but Islam is not a reasoned religion. If the person is inclined to be reasonable, then you can try to reason with them. But mostly what they understand is raw power, which we have in spades. (I’m not just talking military power here.) How to use that power wisely is an important discussion.
On a very human level, the ones who might be willing to leave their prison often react to kindness and mercy by someone who could trounce them with some puzzlement. They seem to find it difficult to underand why they’re not just trounced. That’s what they would do if they had the power. Like with every human issue, solutions are complicated, and Muslims have no shortage of issues.
And talking about issues, your encyclopedia has plenty.
It must have been written by a liberal or something. We could probably have a good set to about whether or not the West lost the Crusades or even if dimmitis has really worked for the Muslims.
haystack
I think that would be an excellent topic Miriam. Let’s see if CJ would let me do a Crusades then and now piece, and an analysis of Dhimmitude…I am game.
CJ-we could do it over at my tree fort if you don’t want it here, boss…
Cpl M
I like the idea, hastack. I have your fort in my reader so I’ll see it no matter where it gets posted.

I would like to make a comparison…….
Muslims are like my ex-wife. Stop laughing before you read on…….
Doesn’t matter what I say to her, how I say it to her, where I say it to her, etc., she is still going to be mad at me. Doesn’t matter if my thoughts come from the most sincere part of my heart with nothing but the best of intentions, I am the bad guy or I am wrong and trying to be hurtful about what I am saying. It is like walking on freaking eggshells.
So here is my advice, say whatever your going to say and SCREW what they are going to say or do afterwards unless you are doing it in a cruel way. And even though I don’t follow the Pope (though I repect him as a good man and the leader of the Catholic Church) he didn’t say anything that wasn’t true.
haystack
Chad, when were you married to my ex-wife?
heh
Chad
Yes I was. She was the one that was a saint before you were married but the minute the ink was dry on the marriage license and the ring was on the finger, she turned into Godzilla.
By the way, thanks for NOT warning me about her. Hopefully the next guy will be a marathon runner and run from her.
Happy now though. My wife is a SAINT!!! Woman deserves a metal.
haystack
Beautiful…
Sorry I didn’t warn you-I was paying lawyer bills(hers) and lost my place.
Mine now is also a sain’t. Not sure whether she gets a medal or a badge of courage, but either way… sounds like we both traded up!
Chad
While we have traded up, our poor wives have traded down. LOL!!!

As the end approaches the bible foretells one event.
“Many will fall away… lawlessness… the love of many will grow cold”
As our hearts harden we will turn from God.
Sorta like today. Sorta like liberals who want the GODLESS AGENDA passed. Sorta like the ACLU cloaked in Law to deny God. Sorta like the uprising of the Islamic Radicals who would fulfill other end time prophecies.
Is the end upon us? No….but it is getting closer.
Ponder this.
Persecutions and tortures to the elect”, v.9, corresponds to the 5th seal in Rev.6:9-11.
Sorta like the Beheading and torture that is going on in the ME. Like the USA is accused of doing in Guantanamo all in the name of a religious war that is being fought………JIHAD.
And then we have this to consider.
- The many “false prophets”
You know like all the Mullahs in IRAN. The Shite Mullahs all over the ME who wield untold religious power and tell their followers what to do and watch them blindly follow their lead.
This is only the beginning of the end. The bible predicts that man will turn against each other. Brother against brother, Father against son. As we are seeing today with this vast and powerful polarization of religion and POLITICAL idealogy. Man is choosing up sides and most families are even feeling the pangs of disagreeing with each other over what is right.
Is it the end? No but its on the way….its getting close.
The Muslims want a religious war. Is it time? Is it the time that God forewarns us about?
Perhaps Its Time to fear the reaper.
concretebob
Islamo-facists cannot be reasoned with because they only want one thing..the end of Western Civilization..the end our culture..the end our belief system..the end our freedoms.
To negotiate with them is simply the beginning of the surrender process. They view dialogue as a weakness.
They view inaction as an opening to attack.
They can only be dealt with one way…THEIR WAY!!!!
I’m sorry, but that is the simple truth.
The fact that so many are ready, and willing, to die is the primary difference between us and them.
They place no value on life.
We are taught as soldiers that survival is primary.
Take the objective, be prepared to die doing it, but don’t deliberately kill yourself, unless it means saving others.
Just the humble opinion of an old Jarhead.
Haystack and Chad..
“How’s my ex, my ex, treating you”
Has she had the time to find someone new?
Any day now will be the last
Son I know well from the past
Cause I was once, once there too.
How’s my ex treating you”

concretebob – gee freakin’ thanks for not stamping some kind of warning on her forehead before releasing her back in the wild for Haystack and I to see. Boy, how much more selfish could you be??

“Go to Hell” is the correct direction, but not forceful enough. I’ve been toying with the idea of printing the Koran on toilet paper. Or, pictures, drawings, charactures, or what-ever of Mohamed on same. (Maybe there could be two rolls per package?) Then, at least once a day we-all would think of muslims in a way they have come to richly deserve. Hummm, think this could start a real killing frenzy among them like what happens with sharks? Foaming at the mouths they just might do themselves in. I’m thinking a buck a roll is about right. Watcha think? Oh, sorry I’m late, but I’ve been busy and just got to this Blog. Good Blog.
