Everyone should know that I’m a proud Texan. What you don’t know is that when I was younger, I used to refuse to the pledge of allegiance unless I could pledge allegiance to Texas before the United States of America. I was young and dumb. But I’m still proud of my state. So, with that in mind, I created my own pumpkin design for this Halloween.

I like! I’m student teaching this semester, so I do the Pledge of Allegiance and the Texas Pledge each morning. However, I only stand with hand over heart when both are recited in Spanish…

As we say, I wasn’t born in Texas but I got here as quickly as I could.
I love it.

Darn CJ you should have had that pumpkin here in San Antonio this week. They had a Pumpkin carving contest at the hotel we’re staying at for the F.A.S.T. course I’m attending. I bet you’d have won the contest with that one! LOL!

Great Pumpkin, CJ! I fell in love with San Antonio when I went there to visit my daughter. We had the best time! Luckily I have a good friend in Houston so I’ll get to Texas now and then.
