If you don’t think that Islam is at war with Christianity, you’re dead wrong. I think I’m pretty much convinced that this is a Muslim issue, not an extremist Muslim issue. I say that because I just don’t see huge protests in Washington denouncing Muslim extremists. I do see huge protests and marches in support of it. I don’t see Muslims taking to the news in droves to denounce attacks or flooding the internet with videos and propaganda against it. One could argue that the news won’t give them the coverage, but I find it hard to believe that 1.2 BILLION people can’t find a voice in the press. Basically, I need to be CONVINCED otherwise and not by my fellow bloggers here or other Christians. I want real Muslims to begind a campaign of media exposure and put THEIR lives on the line for their religion. I’m tired of fighting for their blasphemous and hypocritical religion. I’ll defend it no longer.
And it’s not just happening in Arab states. Check out what Tantor from Conservative Propaganda (and an Air Force vet) has to say about Ramadan Trophies in the unlikely country of Java. Be forewarned: some of the images are graphic. However, they’re not as graphic as the videos released by other Islamic terrorists in the Middle East.
Also, I can say that I AM deployed with the 3rd Stryker Brigade in Baghdad. I just don’t talk about specifics about what’s going on here. Just know that when I post good news stories, there are many more like this that aren’t happening. From a deployed standpoint, i’m also glad the elections are over. Now both American and Terrorist politicians will stop using me and my fellow soldiers for political gain and start focusing on killing these arsewipes who just dispise freedom.

Translate the term Islam, and what you’re literally writing is “the war with peace.”

Amen!! IF it is a “religion of peace” then explain to me how it is okay that it is allegedly usurped by people promoting destruction, extreme violence, and hatred of all other religions and ethnicities. I hear no outcry about this from so-called ‘moderate’ muslims which leads me to believe that Islam is a dogma of hatred, destruction, violence and let’s blame every one else for all the ills in the world — even though these MANY of these ills are performed by muslims “in the name of God.” I think God is ashamed of and disturbed by these behaviors and awaits the overthrow of this evil by the alleged and possibly non-existent ‘moderates.’

If it truly is a war between Islam and Christianity then why should America be involved? Not everyone in this country, including the soldiers fighting, are Christian or Muslim so why should they die for either?
The problem isn’t with Islam alone, the problem is with people who let their minds be controlled by the arbitrary dogmas of a 2000 year old ethnic superstition.

You should all see “Obsession” – a movie about the extreme hatred coming out of the Islamic world. In it, several “moderate” Muslims speak about the excesses and violence and hatred and the goals – If you don’t think like them, they want you dead – they want to control the world. It is their Islam against all unbelievers.

Personally, I don’t care that “moderate” Muslims are afraid to stand up for their religion for fear of being killed. If it’s not important enough to die for, then why even worry about it.
Lobo, America is considered a mainly Christian nation. Look anywhere and you’ll find Christian churches. But I agree that both Christians and Muslims have their whackos. They just seem to be concentrated in Islam.

Lobo, unfortunately for you, Muslims don’t care if you think you’re Christian or not. If you’re white and born in the West, you’re a Christian according to them. In fact, no matter what your skin color, if you were born in America, and you don’t have a Muslim last name (or switch to one and go regularly to your local mosque), you’re a Christian.
I happen to have personal reasons for knowing this is true. Because of my last name (which is NOT Arabic, but which they all mistake for one) they think I should be Muslim. So, if they don’t discriminate by family name, could you please tell the “Life for Relief & Development” (Muslim “relief” program) people to stop sending me fan mail?
No Christian of any stripe started the current war with Islam. Islam declared war on the world. That’s the whole goal of their religion (other than to please a finicky god that doesn’t really care what they do anyway as long as they take over the world for him).

Unfortunately for me I live in a country where religion has become political capital and the machinations of money grubbing, corporate, fat-cats has been slickly disguised behind a facade of patriotism and the xenophibic cries of warning about culture-war and Islamic fascism.
If America wasn’t such a hegemonic bully we wouldn’t have to worry about Islam. They didn’t come to America and set up puppet government, they didn’t come here and draw arbitrary borders, they didn’t come to our country and seek to exploit us for the natural resources we sit in top of. America has to wake the hell up and smell the bullshit we are shoveling.

You’re right CJ. What we, as a country, need to take into account is that their actions were not unprovoked. Vile and disgusting as terrorists are, they are a symptom of the disease not the cancer itself.
America, and the west, has made the middle east thier political plaything since the end of WW1. We have bombed at will, manipulated their governments, and generally stuck our noses in where we have no business simply because they have oil.
If there is to be a serious attempt to fix the problem, people whould be serious and honest about the history of the conflict. Americans love to pretend that we are completely innocent, but we here fail to realize just how arrogant and controlling we are with the rest of the world.

Lobo, I love you brother, you know I do. AK-47 is still my kick butt favorite song right now, but I disagree. Islam has been fighting Christianity since the the seventh century when they took over Europe and hit the seas with their extremist deeds of piracy. The better statement is where does it all end? You hit me so I hit you so you hit me so I hit you and on and on. That’s what we’re doing.
I don’t buy the whole oil argument. Oil wasn’t discovered in the Middle East until the early 1900′s (the Saudis didn’t find their oil until 1938). So how do you explain their killing of westerners and Christians for the hundreds of years prior to that?
I will agree that we are an arrogant nation, but I also think we sort of have a right to be. We earned it. As Monty Python would say, “I fart in their general direction.” I also think we need to drill our own oil and just let the terrorists chop the heads off the environmentalists fighting us on it.

This isn’t all about Oil and what the West have been up too Loboto. Islam goes back much farther than our Western Industrial Revolution, and farther back than the Crusades. The Curan tells extreme Muslims to basically murder non-believers, a passion seen in the Old Testement.
What ever your beliefs what is clear is that if you are not a extreme Muslim then you are the enemy, unfortunatley I can’t see that anyone is able to sit on the fence on this one.
Only today MI5 in Britian has had to tell us that we are facing terrorism of mass portportion in this country(Britian)(so much so that we will see death in this country by W.M.D) and that it is considered that it will take at least a full generation to change things, thats a long time fighting! I’ve said before to CJ that in Britian we let a Trojan Horse in a long time ago, and in that respect we will reap what we have sown, but non-extreme-muslims cards were stamped a long time ago. Remember that we are not just dealing with a few religious fanantics here…because this is world-wide!
I will agree with you however on that we, the West are completely arrogant and controlling…we’ve already had to contend with a few humbling wars in the past…looks like this one is going to be the one for our generation to get us on our knees to God..perhaps?!
