Did you read those reports? It said both State and DOD had reservations about retaliation but in never came to a head because no definitive answer ever came from the CIA. And Bush NEVER responded once he got definitive word from the CIA.

Oh, Hawk, how wrong you are. Less than one month after the bombing of the USS Cole, on November 11th, preliminary results came out that pinned blame on AQ. Yes, that was 4 days after the election, but Bush wasn't President then - he was President Elect. By late November, it had become and "unproven assumption". As early as December 21st, we had enough information, a "preliminary judgment", to retaliate for the USS Cole. Clinton was still President. At least you've come to your senses that Bush "rightfully" retaliated. Too bad his predecessor didn't.

That’s funny, Al Quaeda claimed responsibility for that from the start. Once they did, then why didn’t Clinton do anything about it? Maybe because he was too busy, “getting his pipe smoked” by interns?

Just for the record, the CIA and FBI did not certify that the attack on the Cole was conducted by Al Quaeda until Bush was president. Bush is the one who rightfully should of done something about the Cole.

Oh man! I always miss the good stuff! Well, I WAS going to suggest that y’all stop arguing with stupid people. That guy didn’t make sense. Also, I wanted to point out that he probably supported Clinton when he was president and his half-@$$ job of doing something about avenging the USS Cole and the embassies that were bombed in Africa (in 1998) and other things along that line. Then I wanted to point out that Clinton was the biggest runner of them all when it came to wars. I mean, at least Bush WAS in some sort of Armed Forces…but where did Clinton go? It was OUT of the USA. Anyway, I’ll shut up now. That was just one thing I wanted to post for that stupid Fat Sax man. Oh well…maybe next time I’ll catch the good fights in here! Oiy…off to read what Cj meant about wives’ honors…but that may have been deleted as well…dang.

A scorpion, being a very poor swimmer, asked a turtle to carry him on his back across a river. “Are you mad?” exclaimed the turtle. “You’ll sting me while I’m swimming and I’ll drown.”

“My dear turtle,” laughed the scorpion, “if I were to sting you, you would drown and I would go down with you. Now where is the logic in that?”

“You’re right!” cried the turtle. “Hop on!” The scorpion climbed aboard and halfway across the river gave the turtle a mighty sting. As they both sank to the bottom, the turtle resignedly said:

“Do you mind if I ask you something? You said there’d be no logic in your stinging me. Why did you do it?”

“It has nothing to do with logic,” the drowning scorpion sadly replied. “It’s just my character.”

Daddyphatsax isn’t living in America anymore M. He hates America and what it stands for sounds like.

He even hates our soldiers. His quote which really got my dander up was, “My beef is that I cheer every time I see that an american soldier was killed in Iraq.” Grrrrr!!! Such lunacy makes me mad. He could be a terrorist, who knows.

Anyway, thanks CJ for banning him as well as the others. Sometimes you can’t pet snakes, they bite!
