I get these all the time, but I thought you’d like to see the kind of nonsense that a big Milblog gets you. Kinda reminds me of my conversation with Evan at the Capitol the other day. Here’s the email verbatim, but without the links (put on your tinfoil hats…now):
ELEMENTS IN OUR GOVERNMENT DELIBERATELY ALLOWED 9/11 TO HAPPEN!!!
Why were “hijacked� airliners allowed to fly around the Eastern U.S. for hours without being intercepted, pursued, or even seen by our military jets???
How could Flight 77 slam into the Pentagon unopposed, 45 minutes after the WTC was struck by other “hijacked� airliners??? How did that huge Boeing with a wingspan of 125 feet disappear into an initial impact hole merely 16 feet wide??? Why does our government refuse to release any clear video of what happened to Flight 77 at the Pentagon???
Why did WTC Building #7, which housed CIA, FBI, SEC, Giuliani’s bunker, etc., implode exactly like a professionally-controlled demolition given that it was not struck by a plane & had a few small, scattered fires??? Why did the WTC Towers erupt, explode, & collapse at virtually free-fall speed???Why was Bush allowed to remain in that schoolhouse so very long, a pre-publicized target, also endangering the children???
Why did top officials of the Bush regime, PNAC Neo-conservatives, state in the year 2000 that their plans for “preemptive” wars [U.S. wars of aggression] would take too long to implement, “…Absent some catastrophic & catalyzing event–like a New Pearl Harbor” ??? Why did a “New Pearl Harbor” then prophetically occur on 9/11/01, paving the way for them to invade Afghanistan, Iraq, (Iran next)???

Sadly, that could have come from my brother. I don’t read his emails anymore, for the most part.
As for WTC7, I went to a September 11th photo exhibit a couple of weekends ago. A photographer who lived in Manhattan at the time had gone down with his camera that day, then again on the 13th. He was there at the exhibit, and although I walked through it alone first, when I finished, he had just finished up talking with a previous group, and basically was providing commentary about his work for the new group. He explained that when the towers fell, #7 was heavily damaged by the debris and was on fire, and eventually could no longer support itself.

They also admitted it too. Then they retracted that statement and said that it was a documentary. Strange, that people would ignore these facts. I wish we weren’t so ignorant this way!

If one (e.g., Flag Gazer) can equate all liberals with the train of thought expressed in the top post, then, I guess in all fairness, one can equally equate all conservatives with (i) Ann Coulter – which makes all conservatives homophobic; (ii) John McCain – which makes all conservatives deathly afraid of sex education (did anyone hear the moronic statement made by McCain concerning HIV and condoms); or (iii) Scooter Libby – which makes all conservatives liars. The list is, of course, endless.
Reign it in, there, FG, you’re getting a bit ahead of yourself.

Of course, when you have people teaching theory and preaching their political beliefs to students who have no other alternative but to like it then you have a whole mess of kids who’ll end up brainwashed. Also, if the ibby case makes all consevative liars then the fact that Joe Wilson is no saint and that he proved no shred of solid evidence to his claims after going on an investigation at the recomendation of his wife whose children were already bragging about their mom’s CIA service in school, then that makes all liberals liars. Also, did you hear the ridiculous statement made by Hillary Clinton that said that AIDS wasn’t a big problem and that the president is making a big fuss over it? We all get ahead of ourselves, CF! It’s just that plenty of people were correct and who were geniuses in our history as humans have all gotten ahead of themselves. People keep on talking about how Bush had a drinking problem. Well, if the booze from the 17 hundreds and the 18 hundreds was alot stronger than the booze we drink now, then every single one of the great minds who thought of the principles of our great country were all more drunken than this president has ever been in his entire life. Can you answer me if I were to ask you “did any of these guys get ahead of themselves when they talked politics, after getting drunk, then duking it out in a barroom fight?” The answer is yes of course! Several people who get ahead of themselves can think wonderfully. It’s only the fact that people don’t want to hear them is the only reason why they were considered getting ahead of themselves, and yes, when you have an education system that isn’t down to earth or allows teachers to preach their theories rather than teach what is known by historians or political scientists, then you have an extremely messed up education system which is a valid point made by Flag Gazer!

The point I was trying to make is that it is incorrect to equate all liberals with 9/11 conspiracy theories. Furthermore, I suspect that you will search wide and far to find an occurrence of 9/11 conspiracy theories being taught in public schools. FG’s point was simply incorrect and way off base.
And BTW, you seem to be smarting still from the verdict in the Libby trial – the trial where evidence showed that top administration officials outed Plame, and that Libby lied attempting to protect those officials. Get over it or, better yet, become outraged that our president has countenanced treasonous behavior at the top levels of government. And further, Wilson was faced with proving a negative. Thus, there was no evidence to support his claims. Good Lord, my friend, your take on the Plame/Wilson debacle is nearly as outrageous as the 9/11 conspiracy theories!

Oh my goodness! What will they come up with next?! I shudder to think what it will be next. They hate the president so much that they invent things and the theories get bigger and bigger all the time or should I say the lies get bigger all the time!!

No, that’s not treasonous behavior to go against a former U.N. ambassador when he digs biased info against you, CF. True, Libby was convicted and I am not denying that. However, all I said was that even though Libby is guilty, Mr. Wilson is no better nor is he a saint. I’ll leave it at that. Also, I know that Liberals aren’t equal to September 11th conspiracy theories and I don’t think they are either! However, I still agree with Flag Gazer that it’s a problem to have professors using their power to promote their political ambitions, and I don’t say that about every single professor. I understand that there are good ones too. Besides, if the Libby trial should equate to me to being angry at my president. Then the trials that led to Saddam Hussein’s execution should lead you to understand that Saddam did step out of bounds and that he did violate laws(particularly international ones like attempting genocide), and that should make you angry too. You should also be angry about the Oil For Food scandal, and how if he was successful in bribing enough nations with it’s corruption, he would have bought WMD’s and used it on his own people like he did to the Kurds, I am also pretty sure Niger is not the only country like the U.K. Telegraph says it’s not the only country Saddam sent representatives to try and hammer out deals for fissile material. That should make you angry at Wilson too cause he failed to prove his theories and disprove his oppositions as well! CF, I to am angry at several government blunders like the Walter Reed Disgrace made me angry, the legislation that was killed in the Senate to stop funding to our troops in harms way made me angry. Just like me, CF. You’re a patriot, but we disagree. However, we can agree to disagree and just like Voltaire said, “I may not like what you have to say, but I’ll fight to the death for you to have the right to say it”. That goes to all our pals at One Utah as well despite the fact that they think I am a dangerous mind(I am sure Cliff’s nose is growing like Pinochio’s because that is crap). We can debate this topic all we want and take it to new limits. In the end, everything stays pretty much the same. If we were the ones in Iraq, and you were the one who got your limb taken away from a Jihadist, I ‘d carry you to base, save your life, and then go back for your limb and the wahabis/jihadist/insurgent/terrorist’s head. HOOOOOOOOOYAHHHHHH!!!!!
