Michael Yon has a great piece up about the battle for Baquba and what we’re doing to track down insurgents in the contested area.

I am with 3-2 Stryker Brigade Combat Team. Iâ€™ve run a few missions with them in Baghdad, and they have fought all over Iraq. This Brigade has much recent combat experience, and is expertly commanded. A person does not need to even meet the commanders (though I do each day) to know they are running a tight ship. The professionalism of 3-2 is particularly high, and they are very competent fighters who are maximizing their assets, including the incredible Stryker vehicles.

Yes, my prayers and thoughts go out to all of our troops as you guys and gals fight for the freedom of Iraq and fight this war on terror! Godspeed and God Bless and come home safely all of you!!

Thank goodness for our military and thank goodness for people like Michael Yon who also put their life in danger to provide us the reality of what our troops are exposed to as well as the great success they are having in Iraq. Thanks and prayers to them all.
