		<description>I love this pic... but you have some information wrong. Mike Strank was not sent up the mountain with the flag. That was Rene Gagnon. Mike was already at the top with John, Franklin, Harlon, and Ira. Rene joined them at the top and they all raised the flag. Mike did not take the picture... it was another man. There was also someone there who filmed it. You can get all of this information from the book Flags of our Fathers written by (the corpsman) John&#039;s son, James Bradley. 
You were right about this picture being the second flag raising though.</description>
