A SOLDIER'S PERSPECTIVE
THE WEB'S LEADING MILITARY BLOG SINCE 2004
I will have my second show this coming Saturday, August 4th. My special guest will be Doug, aka, “Tunnel Rat”. Doug worked in
Iraq from March 2005 to March 2006 as a flatbed driver based out of TQ. This was the second time Doug stepped up to server his country. Doug is also a former Army Ranger and served 20 years in the military.Doug’s has never been told by the MSM and he is one of the uncounted. Doug returned home in March 2006. “I want to go back!”, he told me today when we talked about Saturdays show. “I even called KBR and talked to a recruiter. Even though they say I am eligible for rehire, they said that it probably wont happen.”
He wasn’t fired. He did what he was told to do. But yet, they still wont hire someone that has the experience that is needed to keep drivers alive on the roads of
Iraq! Listen in Saturday at 1000CST on-line at BlogTalkRadio/AmericanContractorInIraq to find out why.
Also hear the very emotional story of a friendship in the War Zone and how it ended in the worse possible way. Doug has agreed to talk about his feelings on escorting Larry’s aka “Crop Duster”, his best friend, body home after an IED ripped him apart in an ambush in 2005.
