Hello, folks. Here is an Open Briefing for all of us to discuss things currently on our minds. As usual, keep things civil and keep the rules in mind. Beyond that, anything is fair game.
Ice Breaker: What have I been doing that has kept me so quiet? A few of you know, so I ask you don’t spoil the fun by reveling the answer. While you’re guessing, think up a few funny ideas that will probably be way off the mark, but will give me a much needed laugh. I’ll pick a few of the funniest ideas and mention them in my post about what I have been up to. How soon I get that post up depends on how long it takes to make me fall out of my chair laughing.

With the abundant and vitually unlimited availability of sand, I theorize that Cpl M. has taken up glass-making. (see history of glass-making, here: http://www.glassonline.com/infoserv/history.html ) He is creating unique and unusual glass products and selling them, thereby making a fortune. He’s going to buy us all really cool souvinirs, and pay for all our airfare so we can go to his huge WELCOME HOME! party, when he returns from the sandbox. Quite the entreprenuer, our Cpl. M.!

I’m going to spoil the fun and tell you what he’s really been up to. CPL M has been working behind the scenes to trade in his Eagle and Globe for the much-coveted Army of One star. He’s tired of being one of the few and the proud and desires to be Army Strong. To accomplish this, he has given up profanity, started to read books with words more than two syllables long, and realized that he wants to Be All That He Can Be.
In his off time, CPL M has been catching and skewering Iraqi camel spiders for future care packages..
