Our Marines are being screwed. This country is failing them. It’s time for a letter writing campaign for clemency!

It’s illegal for a member of a defense force to defend himself? WOW, that’s really is cruddy stuff!

This is another of those stories that involved me using several swear words…and NOT about our Marine. This young man deserves our support and our thanks……PERIOD.
Terri
I totally agree SK and let loose with a few swear words myself when I read this story.

Though I live in Florida. I have contacted my local POLS on this matter. Will it help? Do not know but at least it will make them aware of the so called justice our Military has to live with.

Holy cow!!!! OMG. That’s just insane. Hellloooo…. SELF-DEFENSE! Good grief. Poor Marine!

Where is this country headed, down the road of legalism even in combat situations?! What that Iraqi was doing could have gotten them both or all of them killed!!

Thank you for making us aware. I had not heard of this yet. I am astounded… this is so horrifying. What can we do?

Are they trying to do away with the Marine Corps????? Young men and women won’t be so quick to enlist if they think doing their jobs will get them sent to prison. This just has to stop!

Bad situation, for sure. But, at the same time, another indicator that it is time to leave the fubar that we have created in Iraq. The Iraqi government can certainly sort things out when it returns from vacation.

It indicates that the anti-war control everything in the information business and is abusing that for their own political gains in every way shape or form. It is in fact misinformation, but it will be the first peice we’ll be hearing about when the anti-war crowd starts trying to rev up another one of their agitation propaganda campaigns, like the defunct FUBAR they started up over the Abu Ghraib.

Mayo,
I read about that and it is a shame. Even though we disagreed with their statements on this very site, we are deeply grieved by their loss. Regardless of their position, I have no doubt that CJ and the people at They Have Names will honor their sacrifice as they do all our fallen heroes.
