GI Film Festival AAR

By all accounts, GI Film Festival 2007 was a huge success! The program was first-rate. And the festival earned worldwide press coverage from CBS, NBC, Fox, The Pentagon Channel, WMAL, the AP, The Washington Post, and Variety, to name just a few media outlets.

Be sure to check out their updated website, www.gifilmfestival.com, to view their official festival video, which will give you all of the highlights from last yearâ€™s event. I like the Gary Senise video.

Meanwhile, planning for GI Film Festival 2008, which promises to be even bigger and better, is already in full swing.

The festival will be held Armed Forces Weekend, May 14-18, 2008. Visit the website regularly for updates and information.

I am writing to see if I can get a messeage to Mr. Gary Sinise. My father-in-law was in WW11. He will be 92 yrs. old Feb 8, 2009. When he was in Germany for two years away from his family, he wrote a letter to his wife in 1944. I have the original letter. He talked about his new son that he hasn’t seen for two years, if I could love you, why I could fight for you, fight for freedom. It is a remarkable, honorable, and that we have freedom letter. I would love to send it to Mr Sinise, for him to read and I know it would be honored somewhere of what my father-in-law had gone through to give us freedom to do the things we can do in this country.
