A SOLDIER'S PERSPECTIVE
THE WEB'S LEADING MILITARY BLOG SINCE 2004
When things just aren’t going their way, the media resorts to plan B - being positive (not!):
Declining violence has prompted Iraqi refugees to pack up and return home, with the government on Wednesday claiming 46,030 people crossed back over the borders in October alone.
You’d think there would be enough of a story there, but the MSM quickly attempt to dispel any shred of good news with whatever they can do to minimize it:
But the remnants of the brutality that has shaken Iraq keep turning up. The Iraqi Army said 17 bodies were discovered in an area troops have only recently been able to enter after driving al-Qaida fighters out of regions north and west of the capital.
It’s just impossible to put out good news. The MSM is holding on to every bit of their belief that we cannot win this war – we should not win this war. They realize it would be devastating to their credibility to start telling it like it really is. Even when the public is turning away from subsidized journalism in growing numbers, they just can’t seem to get it through their ink-stained brains.

It’s funny too, you know. How at first the news had all these good stories to report about Iraq and they were eager to present it to the public. Then all of a sudden, they practically ignore as many the good stories as they possibly can, while frantically scrambling to get as many of the bad stories as possible to make ratings. Although, who can really blame them? Did you know that the media industry is down fiscally (according to my economics professor)? This includes movies too which also happens to be slow on business! I guess they must be panicking?

Good post sealpatriot.
It is even funnier that their ‘solution’ to the media industry being down is for them to continue to report in a way that made many of us turn them off in the first place. Same goes for their mean spirited treasonous movies. We boycotted Jane Fonda, now we have the MSM and most of hollywood to boycot. Well, so be it. I will spend my time doing something else. Maybe spending time with my family and friends. Hey, I could even spend some time blogging with my good friends at ASP.

The MSM has been mysteriously quiet on the subject of Iraq lately. Seems they can’t stand good news! It must not be good politics for the Democrats for us to win in Iraq. What a shame, what ever happened to bi-partisianship and patriotism!
