William Henry Bonser Lamin was born in 1887. He served with the 23rd Army Division in WWI. Now, 90 years later, his grandson is posting his letters in the form of a blog. The stories are captivating and makes you feel as if you were there in the trenches fighting the war yourself. Check out the WWI: Experiences of an English Soldier blog and check the archives.

Along the same vein, well, sorta only for WW2 ~ I just found out that in February, some of the surviving Tuskeegee Airmen will be coming to Georgia… and PGR has been invited to be there!!!! OMG I sooooooo can’t wait.

This is really neat! What a great way to learn about World War I. I have some letters from an ancestor who fought in the Civil War but I never thought of doing something like this.
