For those Soldiers that love to fish, but don’t have the means to do anything but stand on a river bank, some fine folks in New Jersey want to you to come on their boats and relax.

Is it possible that some of you guys have room on your boats to take memebers of the US military out for a free trip this season? Many of us fish by ourselves and could use the company. Some of you guys have boats so big that taking an extra guy or two wouldnt be a big deal.
The smaller boats could take active soldiers , the bigger boats might have the room to take some injured guys. Just an idea if it takes off maybe we can stick it at the top and Ill start making some calls and see if we can get a link on military websites.
Ill start… I have a 21 footer and fish every weekday outside and behind Absecon inlet. I can take two guys any weekday.
I have a whole fleet of kayaks and will take up to four guys at night to bass fish under bridges. Everything will be free and Ill bring everything.

A lot of people are answering this call. Check the website if you’re in the area and want to take them up on the offer. There’s even a separate website devoting to taking vets fishing.

  1. Hey, that’s really big fish. When I went fishing last summer, it was my first, and don’t get me wrong, I thought fishing and being at the lake was fun. However, my results weren’t so great when it came to the sport. The only thing I caught was a bike wheel that my line got caught on. I was kind of wondering why somebody would throw a bike wheel into the lake. Does anyone have a clue as to why people would put such a thing into the water where fish live?
