A SOLDIER'S PERSPECTIVE
THE WEB'S LEADING MILITARY BLOG SINCE 2004
The idiots of Westboro Baptists Church have had to try new avenues to spread their messages of hate and anger in a country that won’t tolerate their blatant violation of privacy rights against those that mourn the loss of true heroes. They can’t really afford to protest in person any longer since a jury awarded the family of fallen marine Lance Corporal Matthew Snyder $5 million for intentionally inflicting emotional distress on his family when church members protested the marine’s funeral.
In addition to protesting fallen troops, Westboro has expanded their empire of hate to include the Chinese. In a recent “press release” the “church” proclaimed, “Thank God for the Great Killer Earthquake that He sent to kill thousands of stiffhearted Chinese rebels against God. Our prayer is for many more earthquakes to kill many more thousands of impudent and ungrateful Chinese.” The release continues, “For many centuries these vile oriental ingrates have taken God’s many blessings while spitting in His Face. Now the Judgment Day draws nigh, when they shall all bow in terror to Jesus Christ – unless they humbly kiss the Son – NOW.”
The Patriot Guard Riders have the been the noble dividers between the ranting and raving of the Westboro lunatics and the family members of our brave warriors who have gone where their country sent them and served with honor. So, it’s only natural that the Westboronuts attack them as well. They recently sent Senator Joe Lieberman the following “press release”:
God Hates America, and God is killing our troops in His wrath. Thank God for IEDs. This message to be preached in respectful, lawful proximity to the funeral of Cpl. Christian Cotner
-Sat., June 7, at 9:15 a.m.-
Riverside Cemetery
496 Riverside St., Waterbury, ConnecticutCpl. Cotner gave his life for the Constitutional right of WBC to warn America. To deny us our First Amendment rights, is to declare to the world that Cpl. Cotner died in vain; and that America is a nation of sodomite hypocrites.
These Soldiers are dying for the homosexual and other sins of America. God is now America’s enemy, and God himself is fighting against America.
“Except the Lord build the house, They labor in vain that build it; Except the Lord keep the city, The watchman waketh but in vain.”
Psa. 127:1.The Lord no longer builds the American house; nor does the Lord watch over and protect America. Lawless men like the so-called Patriot Guard Riders hate God [interesting since I'm a PGR member and strong lover of God]. These PGR slobs are violent, cowardly, murderous liars. To the PGR gang of thugs, we say, as Jesus said: “Ye are of your father the devil.” Jn. 8:44
If you are going to be anywhere near Waterbury, Connecticut, please stand in solidarity with the PGR against these vile excuses for human beings who call themselves Christians. CPL Cotner fought and died for their right to be ignorant, but he also fought for your right to counter that insanity.

I am disgusted by what they say and do in the name of “God”. My God is obviously not the same as theirs and for that I am most thankful. By the way, please note I worship God AND I am a member of PGR,so is my son. I am honored and proud to be a member of that organization. Rest in peace Cpl. Cotner.

These people (Westboro nuts) are a stain on society and shouldn’t even call themselves christians. Christians love people and love our troops and our country and don’t want any harm to come to them or their families or our country. I don’t see why these people are even in our country if they hate it so much!

Strange that these “Christians” would call themselves that when they say the SAME things as Muslim terrorist.
As a Christian AND a Chinese, I think I can safely say these people should be regarded as Christian. I would prefer to regard as crazies (behind one-way bulletproof glass of course).

As a Christian I am appalled at what these people spout in the name of God….they obviously aren’t reading the same Bible that I am that says, “Love thy neighbor as thyself”.
