Actually, the Iron Cross predates the Third Reich by about 50 years during the formation of the German Republic. This was before Hitler donned his water colors.
Although I don’t hold Bush in high regard, the MOF should be presented to a large chunk of our military for turning the Iraq war into the managable situation we have now.
