Isaac, I simply don't agree with you this time. Yes, it's just fun talk, but it was beyond where I want to go. Honestly, there was nothing inherently WRONG with it, but it was to close to my personal line.

If anyone else wants to see the comment, I can forward it to them. It wasn't profane or disrespectful to any one person and I don't think Steve meant anything inflammatory in posting it.

I guess since I have to put up with it day in and day out in the military, I don't want to come "home" to it as well.

Steve,
Yes, I agree with you. I am currently in the last few stages of washing my own mouth, although stuff still slips out from time to time.

Thank you Isaac. But I respect the fact it's CJ's blog he gets to set the rules of discourse.

I also applaud CJ for not using profanity. As an officer I made a conscious effort to do the same. While I am not offended by others use of vulgar, crude, or profane language, I felt it was important as a leader to demonstrate a good example.

I don't know who said it but I've always liked, "profanity is the crutch of the ignorant". Or something like that.

I saw Steve's comment before it was taken down CJ, and I think it was fine, just a bit of fun talk soldiers have with each other. I know things are on a family level but that was fine, maybe clean it up a little but it should remain.

True...and worse! But, this isn't the place for those stories. Everyone knows Soldiers, Marines and Sailors have mouths on them but that doesn't mean we all want to hear them. I like to keep things at the family level here. That's why no profanity either. I have standards. I, for one, also don't talk like that.
