As I mentioned earlier this afternoon, two unstoppable forces clashed during a trip Anna and I took last week to Savannah. Anna was really smart to bring her camera and caught the action in a few snap shots. Here is the first.

The stories of CJ being vertically challenged are true! Look how short that guy is compared to me! I’m only six feet tall! I promise he can’t be any taller than four feet. Honest!

After nearly two years, CJ and I finally got a chance to meet face to face. We’ve tried many times before, but the timing never worked out. CJ just happen to be visiting soldiers near Savannah, and I just happen to be on leave and able to make a Wednesday trip. The rest of the family accompanied CJ and I, so all had a good time.

We walked down the riverfront and took a look at all the overpriced restaurants and a few cheese gift shops. We then went to this awesome place called Loco’s Grill and Pub. Food was great, so was the company! Being a southern gentleman, I treated everyone to desert at Dairy Queen. It really was a great time.

Okay, so CJ isn’t as short as I had you believe. Don’t get me wrong, he is really short, but not that short. Anna even cracked a joke on him as he pulled into his hotel parking lot.

“That must be CJ,” she says.

I reply, “How do you know?”

“He can barely see over the steering wheel!”

I’m so proud of my Anna. I’ve taught her well.
