Thanks to everyone who voted for A Soldier’s Perspective in the Milblogging.com Milbloggie award competition. We came in a clase second in nominations, but now the real fun begins – winning!! Please visit the voting page (http://milblogging.com/votestandings.php?mode=branch) and vote for A Soldier’s Perspective under the Army category. Voting closes at 11:59PM (2359 for you military types) on Sunday, September 14th, so time is of the essence.

So, what do we get out of it? Actually, not much but a plaque. But, the real winners are the Soldiers who benefit from Project VALOUR-IT, an organization that gets special computers into the hands of injured troops who have lost limbs in combat. Donations are made in the winners’ names to this organization and it would be an honor to be a part of that.

Please go to milblogging.com and do a simple registration to vote. I know JP (milblogging.com webmaster) personally and can promise you won’t be spammed or placed on any Nigerian Scam email list! Please spread the word and vote in each category for the best blog. If it’s not us, then vote for someone else. The bottom line is that this is about change. Not words, not phrases, not blog posts. We’re not putting lipstick on pigs here, we’re changing the world!! And we need your help. You don’t even have to send $5, just register and vote. It’ll take less time to vote than to read what I won’t shut up about here!!
