So, it looks like we’re going to come in a distant third place. The second place milblog got twice as many votes as we did, which begs the question – at least in my mind – “what can we do better?” At least from my perspective, I try to write about things that I think people want to know about the military and military-related topics.
How do we bring in new readers? How do we keep your interest here? What do you want to read about? What’s DON’T you want to read about? Maybe we’re too divergent with all the different things we do here – A Kid’s Perspective, Nigerian Scams, book reviews, etc. Is this distracting or should we keep these elements?
Don’t get me wrong, top three is NOT bad!! It’s just that first place sure would feel good! And now we have a whole other year to get there!
Also, if you’re frustrated because you registered but never got an email, simply go back to the site and try to log in with the email and password you supplied. David Sneakers registered and didn’t get an email either, but when he went back to log in, it worked just fine and he was able to vote. Unfortunately, he told me that he didn’t vote for ASP. I’ll have a talk with him later.

Maybe Marcus and I could deploy together as a publicity stunt and find Osama ourselves. You think that would push us over the top. Naturally, we’d wait until just before the next Milbloggie election to announce our find.

If you are going to do that I recommend all the cool stuff you see on the show “Future Weapons” instead of standard issue crap.

awwww..CJ! It doesn’t take an award to make you a winner..you are already a winner. So many people think so much of you. You inspire and encourage more people than you know. I will NOT let you hang your head! Losing is NOT your style. You came in second to how many?? That in itself speaks volumes. I don’t admire many people in this world..but YOU my friend are one of the few I can truly say I admire and respect. Don’t change a thing to please other people or to win an award. You’d be doing all of this for the wrong reason if you did. Chin up…
