When I lived in Chicago we ran into quite a bit of electioneering out side of our polling place. I would physically pace off the distance from the door. I had more than a few confrontations with them. We never had anything like this though. Makes me wonder how this is different than the way the Iraqi’s had to vote during Sadam’s regime.
I have a grandson in college in Philly. He’s staying home in NJ for a couple of days at my daughter’s insistence. With the riotous ‘celebrations’ when the Phillies won the Series and this silliness today, she’s a bit uneasy with his riding the subways. They’re giving it a couple of days to settle. It’s totally ridiculous that this is happening in America!!
Re-reading my post… I did not mean to compare this with the killings and tortures the Iraqi’s would have suffered had they not voted for Saddam. I’ll shut up now.
Even after showing this clip to an African American friend earlier today, he STILL insisted that race wasn’t a factor in the election and that the clip has been taken out of context. I may have almost spontaneously combusted.

This is so sad that OUR country has come to this, but I believe this is just the beginning not matter what the final results are. So sad.

Some people will eat your lunch if you mention that this election is about race! They don’t want to admit the obvious!

This was just the beginning to what our future will be.
