Yeah, just another day in the office you know, working, keeping the best and the brightest the Corps has to offer, all while in MOPP level 4! That is me in full NBC gear giving a shout out to all my gask masked peeps out there in gas mask land.
My unit had a training exercise today simulating an attack on the air station that involved chemical and nuclear elements. It sucked trying to work with all the gear, especially since I couldn’t find my optical inserts for my gas mask. I was literally working blind! Not the greatest thing to do when careers rest in your hands. Typing was also an issue. The gloves I’m wearing don’t make it easy.
The training event lasted all day, but I managed to avoid the morning part since I had some running around to do on base. I was pretty grateful for that, but there wasn’t any way I could avoid the afternoon. You can’t win them all!
So, do any of you have any pictures of you in your office wearing a gas mask you’d like to share?
UPDATE By CJ: It’s not in the office, but here is a photo of me in full MOPP gear after a SCUD attack doing the happy dance I didn’t get hit!!

Dang Marcus, why didn’t you bring your NBC gear out to Vegas for the Milblog Conference. That could have come in handy when you were “attempting” to rescue that “damsel in distress.” hehehehehe
