On May 31st, Dr. George Tiller, an abortionist, was allegedly killed outside his clinic by a deranged rightwing terrorist named Scott Roeder. Tiller was killed for his practice of late-term abortions. That same day, the President of the United States, Barack Obama, released the following statement:

I am shocked and outraged by the murder of Dr. George Tiller as he attended church services this morning. However profound our differences as Americans over difficult issues such as abortion, they cannot be resolved by heinous acts of violence.

On Jun 1st, Private William Long was killed by an Islamic extremist outside his Army recruiting center. Another Soldier, Private Quinton Ezeagwula was injured in the attack. After being apprehended, the alleged murderer, Abdulhakim Muhammad, stated that he would have killed more if more were outside. Inside the building, 15 other Soldiers and would-be Soldiers were lucky to escape the bullets that flew into the building. That very same day, the President of the United States, Barack Obama, released the following statement:

………………..

You know, when Obama won the election he recognized that he would have to earn the respect of the troops in uniform. He would have to do so because he had done nothing up to that point that most troops would consider support. He had not served in uniform a day in his life.

But, since taking office, he has given all sorts of lip service to the troops about how proud he is to be their Commander in Chief. In Las Vegas, NV on May 27th, he thanked “the men and women in uniform, for your service to our country. We’re grateful to you.” He then said, “And so if I don’t do anything else as your Commander-in-Chief, I’m going to make sure that we’re there for you just as you’ve been there for us.”

So, where the hell is he? Why hasn’t he so much as released a statement about the death of PVT William Long or the attempted murder of Private Quinton Ezeagwula?! The lying, scumbags in the media are covering for him and inventing statements he didn’t give. The Associated Press – oddly the only press to run it – quoted the President as saying, ““I am deeply saddened by this senseless act of violence against two brave young soldiers who were doing their part to strengthen our armed forces and keep our country safe. I would like to wish Quinton Ezeagwula a speedy recovery, and to offer my condolences and prayers to William Long’s family as they mourn the loss of their son.”

He said no such thing! It’s a lie! How do I know? Because I’m on the press list and get the statements sent directly to my inbox! I got the statement about the guy that kills babies on May 31st. I can vouch for that. I’ve gotten every statement he’s ever made about the death of someone he cares about! Which leads me to make an assumption – the President DOESN’T care about his troops. He DOESN’T appreciate his troops. Otherwise, he would have released a statement.

Now, for that idiot Air Force puke that wants to shut me up, eat this! Why do I see the released statement about the abortion killing clearly on the White House website, but no statement about this?! Why was I emailed the statement about the abortion killing, but not this one? Why is there a freakin’ (I’m really resisting the urge to use extreme profanity) statement about the conversion to gosh-darn digital TV after the killings, but not this?

I’m throwing up the BS flag here! The mainstream media is LYING to the public. Either that, or the President is playing favorites with whom he sends his statements. Which is it?

I want to lend my support and condolences to the families of PVT Long and PVT Ezeagwula. I pray for a speedy recovery of PVT Ezeagwula as he deals with his injuries. And I pray that our President pulls his head out of the clouds and puts his hypocritical “support” for the troops to the test. If anyone in the MSM wants to prove me wrong and forward me the email they received from the White House, I may change my tune. Until then, I’ve caught you in a major lie!

  1. I don’t think it’s the clouds that he has to pull his head out of.

  2. hehe no kidding johnston45! I was expecting a suggestion that he pull his head out of somewhere else. I had to do a double take on the word ‘clouds’! ;)

  3. You are totally on target with this CJ. Just makes me sick. Worse than sick. PVT Long will be laid to rest on Monday and NOTHING from the White House.

By the way, YankeeMom contacted the recruiters she supports who, in turn, have made contact with the recruiting station in Little Rock. Anyone who wishes to send condolence cards to the Long family, get well cards to PVT Ezeagwula and cards of support to the recruiters at the station may do so by sending them to:

    Ned’s Guitar Shed
    PO Box 445
    Cross Junction, VA 22625

She will then get them sent to the appropriate recipients.

YankeeMom also has a heart wrenching video interview of PVT Long’s father (a former Marine) http://www.yankeemom.com/?p=879.

Thanks for ALL you do CJ. You are a good man, an honorable man.

  4. Hah. Never let it be said that you backed off who you think is responsible because of threats. I may disagree with you on politics, but I admire your cajones, CJ.

  5. Which leads me to make an assumption – the President DOESN’T care about his troops. He DOESN’T appreciate his troops.

Stomach-turning low blow from you, CJ.

I know you’re worked up about this (which is legitimate, btw), but I hope once you’ve had a chance to cool down a bit, you’ll revisit some of your remarks. Just not cool at all.

    • Ben, this is my opinion, nothing more. When an abortion doctor ranks higher on his list of priorities to single out as being worthy of a press release over our troops, well…. Again, my opinion. I may be completely and utterly wrong! And I truly hope that I am. When I see an official press release or statement from him on this, I’ll change my mind. Believe me, it churns my stomach too.

      • CJ, thanks for the reply. One of the things I had in mind when I posted was your poignant defense of President Bush in the past when people would claim he didn’t care about the troops. One of those posts was actually the first time I read your blog.

Sorry for the crude analogy, but claiming the President doesn’t care about his troops, to me, is sort of the “c-word” for a woman, or the “n-word” for a black person…just in the sense that it goes above and beyond normal criticism, both justified and partisan, and..well, like I said, it’s just not cool. That’s my opinion.

I should note that I presumed that you didn’t actually believe the President doesn’t care about the troops, and that you said it out of anger driven by this incident, and my point was simply that with some reflection, you might want to at some point in the future clarify your remarks. However if you actually do believe the President doesn’t care about the troops, then we’re just going to have to be worlds apart on that issue, which of course is fine.

        Thanks again for replying.

        • Ben, I guess I should clarify. The President cares about the troops in the sense that he wants us to be well paid, have plenty of benefits, and feel good about ourselves. He cares about us in the sense that he has to because he’s our boss and our lives are in his hand. He cares about us because it’s politically expedient. But, does he lose sleep thinking about us? Does it eat him alive when a Muslim extremist opens fire at our troops in our homeland? If it did, a statement would have been immediate and intense! He would almost still be talking about it like he did when one of our own killed those five in Iraq. The reason he cared about that is because it helped his agenda to show that war causes troops to lose it! When troops lose it, it’s a good excuse to shovel more money into the health care and create more of a victim mentality. In other words, the killing in Iraq suited his political ideology, but the killing in Arkansas didn’t. The killing of the abortion doctor suited his political ideology, but the killing of a Soldier by a Muslim didn’t.

After all, he had a big concession speech to make to them and can’t be bothered by chastizing one of their own. What a great impression he would have made in my mind and many others if he had used this incident as an example of the kind of religious extremism that will NOT be tolerated by Muslims or any religion! But, alas, he did not because he doesn’t that much about the troops. It’s a superficial caring. Not a core of his heart caring.

And for the Air Force chairborne rangers that read my writing and push IG complaints against me, that is my opinion. Suck on it (not you Ben!). ;)

        • CJ, while I still disagree with your opinion, I appreciate you taking the time to expand on your thoughts. I now have a better (fuller) sense of where you’re coming from, which can only be a good thing. And thanks for the hospitality, a great example of agreeing without being disagreeable.

    • Some of the remarks may not be cool..but what the CIC FAILED to do is even worse. We are called to duty to protect this country and the ppl in this country. But how can we protect it when we don’t even know if our CIC is standing behind us 100%. If you wont stand behind your troops, then pick up an M16 and stand in front of them.

    • Ben (and anyone else):

I am still waiting for any demonstration to the contrary that our President cares or, more importantly, sees this situation for what it is.

the way I see it is this: we’ve just lost a soldier and had another wounded in the war on terror (or whatever Obama is calling it these days) and “deeply saddened” is an extremely inappropriate response from a Commander in Chief if that’s all it is, especially as late as it came.

If your stomach is churning, all I can say is join the club because I’ve been a pepto case for days over this. Maybe for different reasons?

Note to CJ: I am really trying to be nice (following brat’s example of showing a little respect for the site owner) so this is by best pc response. How am I doing? Never mind, don’t answer…you are a busy guy :-D

  6. CJ, this just breaks my heart – not only because I’m the Mom of a soldier – but because of where we are in this country when the CIC cannot bring himself to give a damn about the troops under his command. The thought that this man is the CIC of my daughter and her husband has given me some very bad moments.
How many parents out there with their kids doing hometown recruiting are thinking, it could have been mine? And now knowing that they are not even protected here, as the FBI has backed off on a lot of the investigations of such people as Muhammed. (PC BS strikes again)

You all deserve so much better than this.

  7. I am with you, CJ. But you knew this. I hadn’t picked up on the thing about the email list. I am also on that list, and of course, ZIP ZERO ZILCH about our recruiters.

I also doubt that BO actually IS the author of that ridiculous statement that was finally released AFTER BO wasn’t even in the US.

Just my feeling. Anyone want to prove me wrong?

  8. Yankee Mom, my good thoughts and prayers are with your brave Soldiers as they are with all our Soldiers, deployed and back at home. They all need looking after. It’s a shame this man is the CIC because he obviously doesnt give a dang. Still waiting to see what he and Michelle are doing for the Military families because they are of course their first concern. *chokes

  9. I’ll be honest, I haven’t seen anything about him commenting about this at all. Strange as he’s been making some very visible efforts to show that he cares about the amazing sacrafices our troops make. I don’t put it as mean-spirited, but just that he goofed. If he does it a few more times, I’ll join the chorus.
    NY-David

  10. Obama sucks as a president. He still has troops occupying Afghanistan and Iraq. He obviously hates the military. Any president worth the title who loves the military would never abandon the troops needlessly occupying lands from the previous regime’s unnecessay “wars”. What were we thinking when we chose Obama over McCain?

    Peace and Semper Fidelis…

    • JD,
I’ll first thank you for your service in the Marines. Second, I’ll simply answer the question you as to why they are still in Iraq and Afghanistan. The job isn’t done yet. We could argue the necessity of the wars, and believe me when I’ve been on both sides. The end result is that we are there. Call America what you want, but in the end, we are a responsible nation.
      NY-David

  11. Needless to say that our president needs to make a statement and send his condolences to the family of the fallen soldier as well as good wishes to the one who was injured! It’s late to do that but never too late if he cares at all about our military!

Be kind President Obama to our military, the ones who protect you and all of us!!

  13. UR so far off base its sad. Even more so if you wear the armed forces uniform. UR the extremist in sheeps disquise. To advocate that our commander in chief cares nothing for his troops, you need to quit drinking. The doctor was killed for excercising his consitutional rights. Our soldier brothers were targeted by some extemist fool. We should ask our president to say something for any american who is killed, because we are all god fearing and loyal americans. That way no one feels slighted.
    cgjr.

    • I’m off base? How? And he shouldn’t say something for any American who is killed, why did he release a statement today about the killing of a mere security guard? Those Soldiers were targeted for exercising their Constitutional rights as well. I await your brilliant response. Oh, and how am I an extremist too? I’m very interested.

  14. Hmm, Normally I would not comment, but this just popped out at me, see, on May 21st, three soldiers in Iraq were killed, from my brigade. The author of this blog never mentioned these three soldiers but did mention a rockband 2 tournament. Now I understand that there are so many people that die over there that it is hard to mention everyone of them, but if you are going to pick on someone else for the same thing, you shouldn’t do it.

    • Jenn, you’ve got a GREAT point. Why does the president mention abortion doctors and security guards in his press releases but not those three Soldiers killed in Iraq on May 21st? Brilliant question! Oh, I’m sorry, you were talking about me. Let’s see, on May 21st I was interviewing family members of fallen troops in Iraq and Afghanistan to tell their stories on They Have Names! Kiss my ass!
