A SOLDIER'S PERSPECTIVE
THE WEB'S LEADING MILITARY BLOG SINCE 2004
This is a video of David Wood and Nabeel Qureshi asking questions at Arabfest, Dearborn. The date is June 21st, 2009. There was a booth at the festival which had a banner titled “Islam: Got Questions? Get Answers.” From their table, they picked up a pamphlet claiming that Islam promotes peace. They noticed that it was full of poor logic and errors, so they decided to make a video refuting it. they went to the booth that gave them the pamphlet to give them the opportunity to defend their claims. Security, however, stepped in and forced them to turn off their camera.
they left the booth, received advice from police, and found out that the actions of the security guards were illegal. they went back to the booth to record a potential answer again. Realizing that the Muslims present had no answer, they left.
When they came outside, they were asked some questions by two young men, who had been sent by security to entrap them. While they responded to them, festival security started assaulting them, as you will see in this video. The conclusion of this video is a mob of festival security attacking their cameras, pushing them back, kicking their legs, and lying to the police.
Is it a coincidence that the city with the highest percentage of Muslims in the United States is the city where Christianity is not allowed to be represented (let alone preached) on a public sidewalk? Is it coincidence that in this city, people will say “No way!” when we say “This is the United States of America”?
Is this what will happen when Islam takes over the United States?

Some days I am so proud to be an Infidel.
Hmm…anyone know the name of the security company?

Although this really shows egragous acts by the “security” people, the guys loses journalistic cred by coming in with a video camera. I believe he knew the reaction he got. If he’d had gone in with a voice tape recorder and asked his questions, I would have more belief that he went in objectively and not to stir up trouble.
He should persue assault charges against security guards, but my guess is that he won’t if his video doesn’t go viral.

David, does that mean that no journalist with a camera has credibility when they go in to cover a story with a camera or show up on someone’s door they know has done something wrong?
NY-David
Agreed. The end result is that I don’t know what questions he asked and how he asked them. He could have asked in a manner that made him a raging lunatic. Since that part is missing, we won’t know. If an anti-war protester showed up at a pro-troop event and started ranting to someone from the military. Later they video themselves getting pushed and shoved off premise by security and then explain that they only went to inteligently debate issues about the war. I might have the same questions.

NY-David,
You can see more complete footage on our blog, http://www.answeringmuslims.com. We were invited to ask questions, and the Muslims at the booth said (twice) that we could record them.
NY-David
Thanks, Mr. Wood. I will look into it further. I will remark that I sometimes see jaded, one-sided journalism in an attempt to show a point. Your site and work at least appear to try to fairly show both sides.
Thanks,
NY-David

they did not want filmed because they did not have time to cover their faces like all of the islamic extremists do in all of their other videos. being an infidel kicks ass

I had the video e-mailed to me, and had similar thoughts to NY-David. I believe some of the ways Americans have treated/profiled those of middle-eastern descent have been horrific, and it is no wonder there would be some defensiveness and aggression if a threat were perceived. I wanted to “fill in the blanks,” so I appreciate the dialog on this page and will also check out Mr. Wood’s website.

The Muslims are not really doing anything wrong apart from promoting peace – the MUSLIM WAY ! America is ripe for the picking like Canada because we, as a people have grown complacent and lethargic about our freedoms. The Gov’t need to do some admending to immigration policies and let the dog wag the tail instead of the tail wagging the dog. There is definitely trouble brewing in North America between the races for power and control.

I’m afraid that many of the poeple you are concerned about are here legally. It comes down to the local police enforcing the laws against such behavior.
