Because really, it seems to me --he's "fixing himself" in the easiest of way: by getting caught up in a movement because they provide a hoard of supporters rather than striking out on his own and working out the questions and doubts he has in a reasoned way. It just seems like a shortcut to really figuring out what's to fix, and how to do it. Who is he trying to placate by being a part of IVAW and then saying he’s not anti-war. The man who would rather make our military look like incompetent morons (like some of them truly are) by highlighting the few bad bulbs than being a REAL Marine and highlighting the many great things we're doing. This is the man that "had the guts to say what everyone was thinking" when he called a general to task for making him live up to his contractual obligations set forth in the contract he voluntarily signed that obligated him to 8 years of military responsibility.
