NOTICE TO MY MINDERS AND CRITICS: DODD 1344.10, which the IG errantly found me in violation of, specifically states that “A member of the Armed Forces on active duty may…express a personal opinion on political candidates and issues, but not as a representative of the Armed Forces.”

Therefore, I want to make clear that this blog is MY PERSONAL OPINION and I am NOT acting as a representative of the Armed Forces!!

Milblogger Matthew Burden of Blackfive fame is running for office!

For more than 20 years, I’ve served my country, fighting to protect and preserve the American freedoms, rights, and values that make this country great, first as an Airborne Soldier – and then as one of the leaders of the Internet political revolution that has held arrogant and corrupt leaders accountable from city halls all the way to Washington D.C.

Not only that, but Matt has done wonders for our troops as well. As one of the founders of the Warrior Legacy Foundation, Matt is devoted to ensuring that our troops are taken care of and their contributions aren’t forgotten.

He is running for the 41st District of Illinois and has a new website up where you can show your support. Check it out HERE. I wonder if VoteVets.org will endorse him. Oh wait, he’s probably not running as a Liberal Democrat.

I have a humble little blog of my own (A Voice in the Wilderness) and here’s my latest piece:

  2. OMG CJ!! I can’t believe that you had to put that disclaimer for the dolts who find that your Header just isn’t BIG enough!! Good Luck to Matt!! Woo Hoo!!

  3. I have a write-up on DODD 1344.10 over on my blog. It’s pretty dry reading (can’t help it – it’s the source), but given how politically proactive we all need to be in today’s times it may be worth a read.

  4. I support any one who had fought for our county and knows the price for it. Good luck to Matt!!
