It’s been a long time since i’ve done one of these, but Chris said the funniest thing today.

While we were out at the scout campout last night, Chris sliced his finger with his knife trying to light the fire with flint. Looking at it, we decided it wasn’t serious to go to the ER since we had an EMT with us anyway. We wrapped up his finger and went about our camping.

Today, we rewrapped it and decided we should take him in anyway since it was still bleeding and the cut looked pretty deep and dirty.

Whenever a patient is seen at the ER here, they always ask if he/she feels safe at home. So, they asked Chris this question during triage.

“No,” Chris responded.

The nurse asked him to explain why not.

“Well, there have been quite a few break-ins in our neighborhood,” Chris said in his Napoleon Dynamite-like deadpan accent. Whew! Dodged that bullet!
