The Coast Guard is embarking on a bold, new strategy to lure new recruits to the oft-forgotten force. Their new campaign, “Born Ready” is designed to draw attention to the brave Sailors who work tirelessly in the protection of our nation’s borders. Here are a few of the new videos being used in the campaign.
Here is a B-roll video of U.S. Coast Guard Detachment 409 capturing suspected pirates after responding to a merchant vessel distress signal while operating in the Combined Maritime Forces area of responsibility as part of Combined Task Force ISI.

Google Alert sent me here this morning on this post. The Born Ready adds are great, except for one flaw … we have a two year waiting list for most ratings (MOS). We simply needed to spend this money in other areas.
