Tomorrow (or today depending on when you’re reading this), I’ll be hitting the road again bound for Fort Hood, Texas for the next chapter in my life. While I’m looking forward to the new assignment I’m not looking forward to being separated from my family for awhile. Tonight, I sat them all down individually and gave them father’s blessings then tucked them into bed.
The car is packed and loaded, ready to go. Not sure how long the trip will take, but I’m estimating three days depending on weather. It looks pretty clear for the foreseeable future.
I’ll be offline for a few days while I travel, but will try to send updates as I’m able. I’ll try to find Taco Bells that have free wifi!
I’ll also be tweeting (@cjgrisham) and updating my Facebook at milestones like state lines. Fort Hood is a great base and I’m excited to be going there for what I hope is my last assignment before retirement.

CJ, God bless you in your travels and I hope Texas is as kind and wonderful to you as it was to me, from my birth, on. (We’re homesick, native Texans living where hubby’s job has to be)
Our daughter and son-in-law are stationed at and living on Ft. Campbell and they like it a lot there, but had tried for Ft. Hood but didn’t get it.
I look forward to hearing about Texas through your eyes.
