A SOLDIER'S PERSPECTIVE
THE WEB'S LEADING MILITARY BLOG SINCE 2004
If the above video didn’t leave you begging for more, I don’t know what is wrong with you.
Team Rubicon bridges the critical time gap between large natural disasters and conventional aid response. We provide vanguard medical care by fielding small, self-sustaining, mobile teams of specially skilled first-responders. To deploy rapidly, we rely heavily on a horizontal command structure, social networking technology, and the employment of local nationals.
Team Rubicon was co-founded by former Marines Jake Wood and William McNulty, and Milwaukee Firefighter Jeff Lang and with enough support the above will only be a trailer of a full length documentary of what they did in Haiti to help.
I’ve been a horrible brother in arms to Jake and William by not covering them here at ASP, but luckily the boys at Blackfive stepped up to the plate and put in the hard work for me. Please, go read about them. Then go donate so they can continue their missions when the next disaster strikes.
I’m actively working on making up for my past mistakes. I won’t give details just in case it doesn’t work out, but stay tuned.

Yay! Finally someone from WI that makes us proud! It always seems like lately, all the stories I’ve been reading on blogs that involve WI make me cringe and want to pretend I don’t live here! From what I’ve seen this area (SE WI, where Milwaukee is) seems to have some of the best Firefighters around. They do great programs in the kids’ school every fall.
