The following images were taken at a political rally protesting Arizona’s recent passage of tough illegal immigration laws. The girls in these videos are JROTC students and not only out of uniform for not wearing headgear, but violation regulations wearing it there in the first place. Can anyone identify which school they possibly go to and send me contact information for the JROTC program there?

Maria Mora, 16, Carlos Diaz, 16, and Viviana Anaya, 15, of Phoenix protest at the Arizona State Capitol in Phoenix against the SB 1070, the controversial immigration law.

Yajaira Garcia, 15, of Phoenix and Yesenia Sierra, 15, of Phoenix, protest at the Arizona State Capitol in Phoenix to against the SB 1070, the controversial immigration law.

These were taken at the Arizona Capitol, so it’s probably a nearby school.

  1. CJ, going after JROTC students?

    Come on…

    • If they haven’t already, then they should learn what the UCMJ is, what it means, and just what they can and cannot do when wearing the Uniform. Just what do you think the Junior Reserve Officers Training Corp means. Their commandant should be made aware of this indiscretion, have a court hearing of their peers then strip them of their rank.

      • Followed by the words ‘I quit”.

    • Maybe her “caught up in the moment” was caused when she saw an ICE (formerly INS) van turn the corner, so she ran and hid in the mob.

  2. Yea, CJ go for it! Maybe they will put you in charge of the firing squad. At the very least you should get her busted down to freshman.

Where was your outrage when soldiers in uniform appeared in the TBN special “Red, White and Blue Spectacular”? Van Antwerp was actually promoted after appearing in that.

  3. it’s tacky, and yeah, if you are gonna wear the uniform learn the rules or don’t wear it.

  4. The girl in the first picture reminds me of Amy Winehouse.

  5. Van Antwerp was a jackass and got away with it. So what? Just because some others break the rules/laws/regulations does not grant immunity to others.

Their commandant should be made aware of this violation, and handle it from there.

    • I just want to know where CJ and his outrage over improper use of the uniform was when a high ranking military official did not the same thing, but something worse, in the cause of something in which he agrees with. You could make the argument that these girls got caught up in the moment.

Van Antwerp knew exactly what he was doing, that it was wrong and it was planned. Come on CJ, take a stand. If it’s wrong for those girls it’s wrong for Van Antwerp.

      • #1: You don’t get “caught up in the moment” when you make a conscious effort to attend a rally in uniform. It’s not like they there just standing there and suddenly along came an immigration rally. Get real.

#2: What the hell are you talking about with Van Antwerp? I have no idea what your point is nor who Van Antwerp is. I did a Google News search and couldn’t find anything either other than a LTG Van Antwerp took over the Corps of Engineering, which leads me to believe you’re fishing. However, you tell me what you’re talking about and I’ll address your “issue”, whatever it is.

        • You don’t know they made a conscious effort to attend the rally in uniform. Maybe they were walking by on their way to school for an JROTC function and came upon the rally.

Yea, fishing. I guess you don’t pay attention when it’s a fellow right wing Christian violating the law.

        • I find it interesting that ALL the links to proof of what Van Antwerp did are not there. From reading the MRFF whining, it sounds like he was interviewed and that interview was used in some TV special. So, until I see exactly what these whiners who seem to simply be complaining that some of our troops are Christian are talking about, I still can’t comment. But, I do notice your failure to stay on topic. That’s okay, though, because I can shift with your winds.

  6. I guess they forgot that for military personnel, one of the first duties is to defend the constitution.
For those of you who aren’t Arizonans and have been bombarded with misinformation, this law DOES NOT try to supersede the federal law that is already in place. Nor does it allow law enforcement to pull you over or detain you because you look a certain way. They are already constrained from doing this by federal laws that are already in place. What it does do is allow local law enforcement officers in the course of pursuing an investigation, while during a traffic stop or in the course of otherwise maintaining law and order to use their discretion to determine the immigration status of an individual using the criteria that is currently used by the federal government, namely ICE. It also prohibits mayors and police chiefs from making an executive decision to not enforce the federal law thereby setting up sanctuary cities.
And for all those whining about having to carry papers….you already do. In most cases it’s a drivers license. The first thing that a police officer asks for when he pulls you over is your drivers license. And, if you don’t have it with you he can detain you until he determines your identity. If you don’t have one, he can arrest you.

  7. …ridiculous; the SAI and the Instructors in charge of these “students” need to de-cadet their frames ASAP and ensure they turn in every portion of the uniforms they have disgraced…this is another indication of the disregard for the law (ucmj included) that is prevailing in some areas of this republic….

  8. It is not that serious. CNN did a news Story with an active duty Soldier who’s family will be affected by the new law. All he did was take off his name tab, which is the only thing that the regulation states that a Soldier must do. The new law just gives police officers another reason to racially profile those that do not look like them. You might disagree with me, but you probably look like the police, and don’t look like me.

    • It is serious because this “Soldier” DID have a name tag on. I’d also like to know what “regulation” you’re citing that says what a Soldier must do during an interview. Can’t say I’ve ever read anything like that and I just checked the relevant uniform and public affairs guidance to make sure I didn’t miss anything.

No, I don’t disagree with you because of my (or your) skin color. I disagree with you because you haven’t read the Arizona Law! If you had, you’d realize that all it does is empower the police to enforce the federal law. And what exactly do the police look like? I’ve seen Hispanic police officers, black police officers, Asian police officers, etc. I actually think YOU are the racist here.

FOR ANY LAWFUL CONTACT MADE BY A LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICIAL OR AGENCY OF THIS STATE OR A COUNTY, CITY, TOWN OR OTHER POLITICAL SUBDIVISION OF THIS STATE WHERE REASONABLE SUSPICION EXISTS THAT THE PERSON IS AN ALIEN WHO IS UNLAWFULLY PRESENT IN THE UNITED STATES, A REASONABLE ATTEMPT SHALL BE MADE, WHEN PRACTICABLE, TO DETERMINE THE IMMIGRATION STATUS OF THE PERSON. THE PERSON’S IMMIGRATION STATUS SHALL BE VERIFIED WITH THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT PURSUANT TO 8 UNITED STATES CODE SECTION 1373(c).

“Lawful contact” does NOT include racial profiling. It includes traffic stops, investigation of crimes, and other offenses. Now, you may say that they will just start pulling people for “looking like you”, which is a racist thing to say to begin with. The law further states:

“NOTWITHSTANDING ANY OTHER LAW, A PEACE OFFICER MAY LAWFULLY STOP ANY PERSON WHO IS OPERATING A MOTOR VEHICLE IF THE OFFICER HAS REASONABLE SUSPICION TO BELIEVE THE PERSON IS IN VIOLATION OF ANY CIVIL TRAFFIC LAW AND THIS SECTION.”

  9. How about you about date this with some comments about how Cpl. Jesse Thorsen is in the wrong. Or is it OK by you because he is a white male Ron Paul supporter.

    • Hey, grammatically challenged one. I’m a “white male Ron Paul supporter!” Now what?

This comment is my own opinion and is not representative of the Army, the Department of Defense, The United States Government, the 82nd Airborne Division, the 3rd Infantry Division, III Corps, the 101st Airborne Division, the 504th Battlefield Surveillance Brigade, the 511th MI Company, the School of the Americas, ISAF, RC(S), RC(E), RC(N), RC(W), CENTCOM, TRADOC, FORSCOM, Recruiting Command, The United States Marine Corps, the United States Air Force, the United States Navy, The United States Coast Guard, The Boy Scouts of America, the Department of Education, or any other unit, department, office, Section, squad, platoon, company battalion, brigade, division, Corps, any branch of service, rank, MOS, or any other segment of official military or government.

      • I too am a white male RP supporter.

I just can’t help but notice the different treatment when some anonymous ethnic, female minor in a JROTC uniform attends an immigration rally VS when an identified white male soldier in uniform makes a political endorsement of Ron Paul.

You were so outraged by the female that you are asking people in Arizona for help in identifying her so you can rat her out. Way to go!

Have you contacted the chain of command to inform on Cpl. Thorsen yet? Isn’t that one of your all encompassing duties as a senior NCO?

        • I have contacted the chain of command, so you’re a completely ignorant idiot in your insinuations. Maybe you shouldn’t judge let you be judged a hypocrite. I never saw an “ethnic, female minor” or a “white male.” I saw two people in uniform. Because the JROTC cadet is not in the military, I have no contact information for the chain of command like I do someone that is subject to the UCMJ.

Thorsen is being investigated right now. So, take your hate-mongering somewhere else. It’s people like you that give Ron Paul supporters a bad name.

        • I don’t normally care about grammar, spelling and syntax errors in blog posts and comments but since you decided to make an issue of it…..

“Maybe you shouldn’t judge let you be judged a hypocrite”

          …now who is grammatically challenged?

        • Congratulations. You found where my “s” key stuck from all the dust here in Afghanistan. So, um, that’s your argument?

        • I’m amazed that even though you are so busy keeping everyone safe from missile attacks and having a stuck S key you still found time to rat out a fellow soldier for supporting RP while in uniform.

How do people like me give RP supporters a bad name? I, unlike Thorsen, have not been arrested multiple times.
