We’ve all heard the stories from Dearborn, Michigan and the runaway Extremist Islam that is prevalent in the city. It has become the hot-button magnet Muslims bent on establishing Sharia law in this country. Time after time, law enforcement officers in the city have taken the side of the Muslims for fear of offending Islam. It’s okay in Dearborn for Muslims to
spread their brand of Islam publicly through leaflets, protests, and other avenues. However, Christians are arrested and harassed for trying to spread Christianity. Check out this video:

This video was recorded only about two weeks ago. What is this nation coming to? When did we allow our local law enforcement to subvert the Constitution in this way?

  1. Sorry, this looks like these guys were looking to get arrested. I hate setups like this. It’s called disturbing the peace. You can be arrested at ANY time for it. Even in your own home.

  2. Bob, seriously? Handing out literature is “disturbing the peace”? If that us the case, we need to start building mote prisons to house all these “criminals”.

    • CJ, its true. I hate the law. Hate it with a passion. But police use it for EVERYTHING.

Its not right, but its the way things happen. And this one will never change.

  3. This one will never change because Americans will evidently accept it. Take Bob for instance.

    Crazy on a stick.

    • Not a matter of accepting it. Its been like this for a hundred years.

This here is just selective enforcement, which I extremely disagree with. None of them committed a crime.

And seeing, and being involved in, things of this nature in the past, odds are these guys called the cops themselves and told them what they were going to do. They look like they setup the cops to look bad on purpose. Video has a little selective editing. 3 minutes later? Doesn’t sound right to me.

  4. That is just plan WRONG…I have got to show this to my husband…People have got to wake up and not let Islam take over AMERICA

    • You do recall that when Kennedy was elected, it was envisioned that as the first Catholic in the Whitehouse, the Pope would be taking over…
      NY-David

      • I remember my Father saying that he was glad Ted drove over that bridge, so he’d never be President. He believed that Ted would do what John and Bobby couldn’t do. Make the Pope the ruler of the US.

        Sounds familiar.

  5. Ooo, hang on, folks. I’m in Detroit; about the only thing I’ve not-yet done in Dearborn is live there. Thus, I can tell you: Bob is right.

This “Christian” — and I am using that word as loosely as humanly possible — group has shown up at the Arab-American festival every year for the past two or three years. They say vile things to people passing by, and then the cameras start rolling when their victims finally get fed up. Lest you be deceived into thinking these are quality human beings because they parade about spouting things about Jesus, go check their website. I nearly fell out of my chair….

Dearborn is not a hotbed of Muslim extremism. The Detroit metro area does indeed boast the largest Arab community outside of the Middle East, yet that part of our heritage and history stems back from well before there was an Al Qaeda — we’re talking the 1880s here. Some are Christian, many are Muslim; having lived, worked, and been educated alongside them all my life, I can tell you that they’re no different than anyone else you’d meet anywhere else…with the possible exception of the fact that the ladies are often far better-dressed!

Now, before anyone has an apoplectic fit, for the sake of clarity:

    - I’m not Arab-American

    - I’m not Muslim (I’m a recovering Catholic ^^)

    - If all goes well, I’ll be entering the Army as a Physical Therapy PhD candidate next year.

So nothing about being anti-American: I most definitely am not! Honor demands I not stand silent while someone I know doesn’t deserve it is being done a disservice, even if saying so is unpopular. It’s not how we roll.

    • Jackie, where is the video of these people doing what you claim? Please provide proof. Thanks.

  7. CJ: I also was raised in Dearborn, MI. And Jackie is correct. The festival where these “Christians” were handing out leaflets was not trying to keep Christians out. A statement from Dearborn officials mentions specifically that the complaint against the group was made by a Christian volunteer at the festival. I have been there and seen more than one Christian group there. The difference is that the other Christian groups registered for booths at the festival, unlike this group who was simply creating s scene.

All festivals that use city property are required to follow city rules.

“Festival rules require religious groups to distribute information at paid booths or outside the event. Five Christian-based organizations and two Muslim-based organizations also secured booths at the festival and were “actively proselytizing in ways that conformed to the festival rules and regulations,” according to the city’s public information department.”

I am a big believer in free speech, but this was a set up to further the agenda of this group.

  8. Jackie “recovering Catholic” what is that supposed to mean? If people (including priests and religious) would follow and live by the teachings of Christ’s Church there shouldn’t be ex-Catholics, anti-Catholics or “recovering Catholics.”

If you’ve had a bad experience with a “member” of the church that is shameful but my advice is to “not leave Peter because of Judas.” There will always be Judas’ in the church (consider the fact that Judas was disloyal or unfaithful and he KNEW JESUS PERSONALLY) but Christ’s teaching is the only way to go. No matter how much people ridicule, shoot down or “hate” the teachings of the church, it is more out of ignorance and misunderstanding than anything, and it doesn’t change the Truth of it.
