Magnum boots were the first tactical footwear built with athletic materials. In 1982, Hi-Tec sports shoe company received a request from the FBI for athletic, lightweight boots. The officers were using Hi-Tec’s hiking boots, but needed an all-black, high-top version. Hi-Tec Magnum was born.
