Men's 5.11 Taclite Jean-Cut Pants

I ordered these because i couldnt afford the number of jeans i would tear through anymore. Knees ripping, and several tears from bow to stern. got these two days ago, tacticalgear shipped the same day i ordered them and i got them just a day later standard shipping! excellent job. I wasted no time putting these through some paces- laying tile, cleaning the garage, even hunting for a few hours. held up well and dust/mud just slide right off of them. shake them out once and they look freshly pressed. super comfortable, fit well if a little under measurement. they arent quite dress pants, but dont look silly with a button down tucked in, or a tshirt on. one weird thing if your switching from jeans- the groin has some extra fabric to keep the inseam from being stressed in a deep squat or lunge. when moving it forms a pouch in the groin that isn't visible, but it feels strange. if these hold up as long as a pair of levis (im hoping longer) im never buying another pair of jeans.

I was looking for a good looking, tough wearing pant with plenty of pockets so this looks to be my best option. I like the cut of them. I like the double knee and that's what seems to blow out first in every pair of pants I own. I like the charcoal color, it's very deep gray.I love the knife pockets: the best thing to happen to jeans since the creation! No more fumbling in your normal front pocket to get your knife or whatever you may need to have quick access to where things like car keys or other objects can get in the way when you need it. Lots of pockets without needing to settle for CARGO PANTS. They do feel maybe a little too lightweight for my personal choice. Perhaps to try some in the non Taclite versions? Perhaps a marriage between this and a work pant and I'd probably have to own a closet full. The pockets seem slightly shallow for my taste. Perhaps another inch to inch and a half in the main front and rear pockets would get a better score.

As a lefty, I was happy to find some pants that did not overly lean towards a right-handed person. The only thing keeping these from being 100% ambi is the small d ring on the right side belt loop, but I have no problems securing my keys in my jacket or directly to my belt loop anyway (although I would still like to see them on both sides or even just add the loops and a removable D ring). These things are amazing, I need to get another pair as when dressing for work, I'm almost always tempted to grab these. The extra pockets up front (and back) are perfect for a cell phone, multi-tool, folding knife, flashlight, as well as spare mags when at the range or in a comp. Plenty of room to stash stuff but without any bulky cargo pockets sticking out. Fantastic.

I really like the fit of the pants. They are very comfortable. The only problem are the front pockets. The opening is cut too small therefore making it really difficult to put the hands into the pocket to retrieve items. And I have medium size hands. I can imagine a person with bigger hands having difficulty reaching into the pockets.

This is a great pair of casual non-tactical looking pants. They pretty much look like a regular pair of pants but still have a lot of the features of other 5.11 pants. They are tough, but lightweight and breathable. The waist on 2 different pairs did measure large. I wear a 32" in all their other pants but had to get a 30" in these. Length was try to size and they didn't shrink when I washed them. Teflon coating works great. Check out my video review of them.
