About Thorogood

Back in 1892, Wienbrenner Shoe Company started out as a cobbler building boots for "jobbing" trades. As the demand of safety footwear grew, so did the need for more specialized boots that catered to the needs of specific industries. The Thorogood brand was officially introduced in 1918 as a maker of work boots dedicated to particular occupations. Durable to down to the sole, Thorogood footwear strives to create products for those employed in the military, tactical and other labor-intensive fields. The boots offer lasting support with composite shanks and a two-density rubber outsole with integrated EVA impact pads. Thorogood's boots work just as hard as the people wearing them.

Hard to Break In

I am in law enforcement and was told these were a great boot for the price, they felt good at the store, however it has been 3 weeks now and I am still switching from my new boots to my old boots, these boots do provide good support but just won't break in and still feel brand new out of the box on my feet, my suggestion if you get a pair get them a little big so you don't have to worry about break in. We measured my feet so they are the right size but still feel a little snug even with different types of socks, hopefully they will come around and feel as good as my old brand, but as of now they just are not cutting it for a whole shift. They do seem to be very sturdy but somewhat uncomfortable after 5-6 hours. Has anyone else had this problem and if so how did you resolve it?
